in all honesty this is a pretty cool concept but the money grab is absolutely disgusting. i just started getting into D&D and dropped a few bills for the core books along with the Eberron book. i hear about this site from one of my favorite youtubers and they talk it up like its great! so i come and check it out just to find out that
THE PHB CONTENT ISNT EVEN ALL HERE!
i have a Beast master ranger. tried to make her sheet on here but we ended up changing her to hunter. no big deal she multiclassed into druid anyways.
then i tried to create my warforged character. SIKE!! even though you already have the book, buy it again through our portal to gain access. if you dont want to buy the whole book you can give us a few bucks. man what a joke.
but lets move on. the ranger i mentioned earlier (her name is drucilla) was granted a magical bow that she can conjure at will. welp, i didnt see an area to homebrew weapons so we decided to turn it into a conjuration spell. remember kids that you have more creative freedom after the spell is created. that is.. unless this websight doesnt let you create the spell. then the problems it has are locked in and now if i want it i have to start all over. no big deal except this bow has 11 different possible dmg outcomes at base. not like i went through every single one with detailed descriptions thinking that this was going to be the last time i ever had to write it out. this is me spending 30 minuets on this cash grab.
1. You can use this site completely free. The main tools are free to use. All the stuff WotC made free, like the basic rules, SRD and Elemental Evil are all free here too. If you have physical books or access elsewhere, then you can homebrew everything except Artificer for free personal use.
2. D&D Beyond are not Wizards of the Coast and are a separate company. They cannot pay WotC the licensing fees and then provide you the non-free content for free. They made nothing from your physical book purchase. They'd go bankrupt. It's the exact same reason the store that gave you the physical book didn't just give it to you for free.
3. The entire content of PHB is here, along with everything from every official book for D&D 5th Edition as well as recent UA playtest material and some 3rd Party content too. Everything not free needs to be purchased, shared (more on that later), or recreated via homebrew to be used.
4. A Master Tier Sub, which is basically the price of a starbucks coffee, lets you enabled Content Sharing in a campaign. If Content Sharing is enabled, everyone in that campaign can share and use all non-free content purchased by everyone else in that campaign. Each campaign can have up to 12 people and there's no Character limit. You can enable Content Sharing for up to 3 campaigns. Homebrew that is created is automatically shared with everyone else in a campaign: no subscription needed.
5. Magic weapons, being Magic Items are created using the Magic Items homebrew tool. Funny how that works. Let's not blame the site for your lack of comprehension. Nothing stopped you just making a post in Homebrew forum going "how do you make Magic Weapons?". If you had, you would have been shown where to go (probably with links and screenshots).
Not a single one of your points has any merit - just you not paying attention or reading the site properly and not using basic common sense. All of this ^ could be found out within a few minutes of searching forums or just perusing the site with open eyes.
You didn't bother checking if this was actually WotC when thinking about "cashgrab" - you made an assumption instead of checking. If you had looked into it, you might have noticed the other threads mentioning it, included pinned topics or even the notice at the bottom left of every page of the site which says this site is owned by Fandom Games. You lacked the forethought that if Magic Weapons aren't specifically listed they're probably under Magic Items, which would make sense since weapons are items, as detailed in the books. You didn't have the common sense to actually go through the different sections of this site to see what your money can get you. You didn't give yourself time to really try and test anything, just 30 mins faffing around cluelessly because you didn't bother to read properly.
Instead of that, you just come on here and rant. Poor form. Disappointed in you.
This site has flaws, I'm not going to deny that, it's far from perfect. But if you're going to give feedback then do so on actual flaws, make it a constructive response, with good thinking and open-minded approach. A rant about fake stuff is disengenous and disrespectful. Always check stuff out, be 100% sure, beforeranting. That way you're not insulting teams of people who put a lot of hard work into it.

Regardless of whether Wizards of the Coast owns D&D Beyond, digital and physical products are independent and separate, and no company should be forced to bundle them. And if you want to complain about the pricing structure, this is not the place to do it, as Beyond is not Wizards and Beyond's control over prices are limited. The best course of action is to contact Wizards via social media such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. and complain about it there where Wizards employees are paid to look after their official social media accounts and where you will have a larger audience to hear your complaints.
You can also play D&D completely free. Hell, you can also use Beyond completely for free too, since Beyond's core functions are all free. Since you have access to some of the books, no one is stopping you from inputting the information from the books into private homebrew on this site. Developing and operating this site also is not free, and somebody has to get paid to do it. If you think Beyond does not deserve your money, then you can either build the digital tools yourself or stick with traditional pen and paper.
On the point of digital and physical products being wholly independent and separate, outside of D&D, I have literally not heard of other customers consuming any other media or hobby complaining about digital products not being bundled with physical products. This is 2020, digital and physical products have been released side by side for well over two decades now, where 99% of consumers these days expect them to be independent and separate. Absolutely no one who purchases Taylor Swift's album complain buying the physical CD not being able to download the digital version from Google Play. Absolutely no one complains about buying a physical book and not being able to get a digital copy on Amazon. Absolutely no one complains about going to the movie theaters and expecting to receive a DVD of the movie for free. Absolutely no Nintendo gamer I know complains about buying a physical Nintendo game and not being able to download the digital game from the Nintendo eShop, and Nintendo owns both their own physical and digital storefronts, and they supply third party physical stores and digital stores too. I honestly do not understand this level of entitlement among some people, and the concept of digital and physical products being independent and separate also is not something difficult to grasp either.
