There are many situations where I want to create non-magical items for my players. Often these are quest items or adaptations on simple items that anyone might come across.
I think it's useful to maintain a distinction between these and fully fledged magic items. It seems to me that all the tools are already there to do this, all that's needed is a different category of item to let us select.
I've seen quite a few people ask for this, and I can't imagine that it would be too disruptive to do so.
Please let us all know if anything like this is in the works.
PS. I <3 DnD Beyond, worth every penny of my subscription, and thank you for all your great work!
We can already do that. But from a different thread its been said that beyond removes non-magical items from homebrew.
So what i think we should ask for. Is for the ability to add new custom base weapons and armor and thus homebrew our own base items.

I agree with this completely. I would love homebrew equipment as a separate category from magical items
