I'm just stunned with the system I've seen for homebrew creations (and especially enjoy the armored dinosaurs, nice one), to the point where I'm invested enough to actually try to contribute to this amazing project.
One thing that I would enjoy personally is some kind of homebrew commenting system, a way for people to put out constructive criticism and help/suggestions for other homebrew content. This would help build a sense of community in the environment and would obviously also be a great tool for anybody wanting to create homebrew content in general.
Another thing I feel is lacking is the moderator approval submission requirement. I love the idea, as we obviously need a form of quality control, but I think allowing the community to vote on homebrew content somehow and report things for lackluster/inappropriate/whatever sort of thing we need to report for would be a more effective system that would ease the tension on whoever is in charge of approval right now. Obviously we're in beta, but I think that moving on from a small scale system like this in the future, there's going to have to be some kind of change, even if the one I'm suggesting is never implemented.
Anyways, I'd like to wish the moderation team in charge of everything here good luck, say I'm super excited for whatever comes next, and thank everyone involved with D&D beyond for interacting so much with the community and creating a product that's impressed and delighted me to no end. Cheers!
There is an upvote system planned, and I think a commenting system would help out a lot as well. :D
As for the moderator approval - We're approving based on the rules and guidelines. If no rule is broken, the homebrew gets approved. We're hoping that the voting system will help to show each PC what is popular (good content) while the others begin to fall to the back of the list.
The commenting system of which you speak is actually a work in progress. There will be the ability for the community to comment upon published homebrew content with praises or suggestion. There is also an upvote/downvote system planned, to help provide the community approval which you spoke to. It would seem that your thoughts are well aligned with the development for the progression of this tool.
Just some of the many features planned in future builds. I'm glad you're enjoying the tools thus far. Thank you for the compliments!
For instance - I just approved a blink shrub. I could PM the person that submitted it and point out that he/she left the text as 'blink dog' in the teleport ability. But when we receive hundreds of submissions an hour and nearly half have typos or inconsistencies or balance issues, we'd rather leave it to the users to weed them out and comment on them.

That's great to hear! I can't wait to see how this pans out.
