I suppose this isn't really "feedback" per se, but I didn't know where else to put it, since this is half feature request and half 'This might help'.
In regards to the coding behind monsters/NPC's, it might be worthwhile(And it would be appreciated) to find a way to just add class levels to a monster(Adding Hit Points and class features as appropriate to the level, of course). As an idea as to how this might work, just having the option under the "Customize" tab to "Add Class Levels"... Perhaps as shown in the following picture, which has been done in a perfectly accurate and reasonable method of depiction of the finished product.
This would obviously help player customization, but it would also allow for the Sidekick classes to just be added like any normal class, and then applied to an NPC stat block after the fact. Just my two-cents, thought it might be worth putting here.
For sidekicks specifically, once the rules for them are finalized and published, I am pretty certain that D&D Beyond will make it a priority to support those rules.

Thank you for the feedback and ideas, it's appreciated and the D&D Beyond team love to receive ideas from the community.
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the Monster Builder feature that is planned. :)
