I'm sure it's requested somewhere, but unsure what keywords to put in that wouldn't bring up a huge number of results.
Essentially, officially requesting that they add to the options list the ability to have the Description and Notes tabs viewable publicly. Seperate options, mind you.
The reason not to show the Notes page is obvious, as you normally don't want fellow players to see your full backstory. But what about the GM? How are they going to know it? Yes, you could copy/paste it to them, but that sort of defeats the purpose of having the sheet shareable if you need to copy/paste to outside sources. And yes, it is included if you export to a PDF, but the website is for digital viewing of a sheet. the pdf is to print out.
As for Description, I see no reason why that tab is blocked in the first place. The only possible 'spoilers' it may contain is background and alignment. Okay, block those from view. but let people see what you look like! What you look like is much less a spoiler than, say, your entire spellbook and your attribute stats.
Alternative: Offer a secondary option for a shareable link. One being the normal option with the two tabs blocked, another where everything is available. Meaning, one to share with other players, and one for the DM. That way you won't have to code a bunch of extra settings in an options menu. You simply leave out the code to hide those tabs in particular types of links.

The DM can already view the entire character sheet of any character in their campaign. Unless your DM doesn't use that portion of the site, which seems a curious edge-case.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. Aside from filling in for an absent player, the biggest reason I would have to look at another player's sheet would be to remind myself what their character looked like, without having to ask them.

Err, how does a character you create get put in their campaign? If that's an actual feature to link something in your account to theirs, I'm unfamiliar with it.

The DM creates a campaign here. On the campaign page is a campaign link they can copy and send to players. Players click on that campaign link and can choose to create a new character or add one of their existing characters.
Edit: to create a campaign, to to My Creations>My Campaigns.
I did not know this. Still, I continue to suggest the above options. Since what if the DM doesn't use dndbeyond to compile his campaign? While it may be a niche feature, it would be appreciated.

If a DM does not use DDB to compile their campaign, then write down your backstory onto the physical character sheet they do compile. If they are going to be looking at your character sheey on DDB, then it is a simple step to create a campaign on DDB to be able to view and track that.
I do still support the toggle for other niche uses.

Good idea. I second. (I don't think it will ever be necessary, but nice.)
