We are a bit oldschool role-player and having rule books on shelf is a must. But when we have found D&DB it was at first- Wow! Managing campaigns in one place, making all home- brews items etc... Amazing!
But We have notice, that is a lot of thing missing (or maybe it is just our lack of knowledge and we can't see something?)
For example- our fighter level up on 3rd lvl and he can choose an archetype (same with rouge) but they have here only one option, where in rule book is more than that. It means that we need to buy again rulebooks here? If yes, it is shame. We don't feel that we want to spend again same amount of cash for something that can be used only on site.
I think (like my players) that if someone already have origanal printed rule-books should have a chance for a discount or just better access to rules/ modify carachter sheets for game.
What do you think?
(sorry for grammar and orto mistakes, english is not my first language ;) )
Yes, to unlock the non-free content, you must buy the digital source in the Marketplace.
You might be interested in the Master Tier subscription, which allows the sharing of purchased content between players (and DM) in a campaign. So, for example, 4 players + DM can each buy a single different book and then share it when a campaign is joined.

This idea has been proposed (with varying degrees of politeness) several times already in the forums, and the end result is always the same: it can't really be done, for a number of reasons. First, DDB is not developed directly by WotC, and they are therefore selling the content on a license, and therefore need to make a profit of it, as any service should try and do. Second, there is no real way, unless WotC and Curse come to a mutual agreement on finding one, to certify a purchase of the hardback books, as any barcode is the same for every book, there is nothing that distinguish one copy of a manual from the other. The only way would be for WotC to start including codes in the books, but that is not something they seem willing to do (for a lot of their own reason, I am sure). Furthermore, you already have the content discounted here on DDB, as a new book (say, Xanathar's Guide to Everything) costs more or less 50$ at retail, while here on the website you pay it 30$, which is quite the discount if you ask me.
Then again, any service only has as much value as the user sees in it, so DDB might not be for you if you do not agree with this business model or find it unfair.
As filcat suggested, though, try proposing to your players for everyone to chip-in for the purchase and the Master Tier mostly subscription, this way everyone has everything in any moment. Also, you can just decide to buy the things your party really needs in terms of content, you do not necessarily have to buy the full Volo's Guide to Monsters if you are just interested in a specific character race, same goes for any other supplement, that are all divided into different "pieces" you can buy singularly.
All this is not to say that this kind of suggestion should not be made, everyone is entitled and should always voice their concerns and propose their ideas. Just this one in particular has been seen almost waaaay too much for it to keep popping up every other day in a new post, imho.

Also note that you don't have to buy entire books. Your players can individually buy the bits and pieces of the Player's Handbook they need for their characters a few dollars at a time. Whatever they pay is deducted from the cost of buying the full book later.
