I've been working on making a subclass for the rouge for a friend the past few days now and at first it was working fine but today after we finalized the subclass and everything i went to make all the changes needed and the editor would no longer save the text i put into any description boxes on any class features, actions, modifiers or anything else that had to be saved to apply the changes. The title and snippets would save normally just like before. i thought it was just a visual glitch so i loaded the class up in a random character sheet and some of the text that i put into the description boxes had been saved and was on the character sheet but most was just black entries with no text now. even deleting the class feature and remaking it from scratch didn't fix it and neither did just remaking the entire subclass from a new homebrew file. i don't know what the problem is but it's really annoying since i could of been done making the subclass a long time ago now.
if there's any info you need that i didn't provide just let me know.
Now that that's outta the way (sorry about that), the bug you're experiencing is a lag. When edits are made it can take 20 or more minutes for those changes to appear on any character sheets. It can sometimes take longer. The dev team are aware and will work on a fix when they can.

the original subclass file i was working on over 2 hours ago and they are still the same now. i copy and pasted all the text blocks into the descriptions and hit save and when the page refreshed the description box was empty. i went to the character sheet just now and deleted the character class and readded the rouge and subclass and the blocks of text that should of been there still aren't even well after 20+ minutes.
The dnd beyond servers are currently really laggy. It is a known issue. It has traditionally taken 20 or so minutes for those things to update but recently it has taken a lot longer.
I will also encourage you to make sure that you are hitting the save button on every screen that is presented to you. If you save something while working on a feature but don't hit the save button on the subclass main page then none of your work will be saved.
I have been hitting save on every page before I'm done with it. And I find it odd server lag would only affect the description and multiclass description boxes of the editor and nothing else. And the last few times I tried updating the subclass over the weekend the editor would update instantly as well as showing up immediately in a character sheet once I deleted and reselected the class and subclass so I could test to see if I did everything properly which I did at least over a dozen times in a row. I don't know where this 20 minutes is coming from since this has not been my experience with the editor at all.
The 20 minutes has historically been the wait time, though like I said the past few months have had much longer wait times to update homebrew from the creator to the character sheet.
So i was messing around trying to get it to work since it still isn't and for some reason ii didn't notice its affecting anything i can put text into and if i have anything relating to (number)d(number) within the text it instantly deletes either that specific part of the text or everything within the text box as a whole which it was not doing a few days before. so no this has nothing to do with random server lag which didn't make sense in the first place and i only notice this is happening because i hit save and the text deletes itself within the editor after hitting save so you didn't even read the post. if i didn't make this clear enough this is a problem in the actual editor itself in real time and not just it also not showing up in a character sheet later on. im using the web version of dndbeyond with google chrome. one of my friends said everything was working fine for him so i don't know why its bugged for me now.
Yes thank you, i just tried turning beyond20 off for google chrome and it seems to be working just fine again. i didn't even think that that was the problem since i've had it enabled the entire time even while editing the subclass the first few times but since then i've had popups saying beyond20 has updated.

Definitely make sure to save on the main subclass page after updates, and see if that helps.
