Hi! So, i am the DM for our group, long story short, my friend (player) purchased some content on his account over a year ago, then, last year, we decided to all split the bill for a sourcebook bundle, but opted for him to purchase it on HIS account, since we would get a further discount on the bundle since he already had purchases some content himself prior. So he has been creating the campaigns on DnDBeyond so we can create our characters and such.
So, now i wish we instead chose to purchase it on my account, because I am the DM for our group, and going forward, if i wish to purchase sourcebook or campaign digital content, i need to do it on his account, since the new content AND the sourcebook bundle can be shared from his account.
Rather than me having to buy adventure or sourcebooks through his account, and log in with his details to prep any digital campaign adventures i buy in the future, would there be a way to move the sourcebook bundle from his account to mine? Of course any needed details on both of our ends can be provided to ensure it is entirely mutual. In doing so, it would prevent me from having to log into his account (also not sure if we can both be logged into his account at the same time). Any help is appreciated! Sorry for the long post, thanks!
I don't know that content can be moved. However, it sounds like someone in your group already has a Master Tier sub, since everyone in the campaign is able to build characters. In which case, you don't need to move the content. You can create the campaign, your friend can join and turn on shared content. You can purchase content yourself, and it, too will be shared.
NOTE: using someone else's account is a violation of the terms of service.
Ohhh really?!? So I can create the campaign, and share all the future adventure and sourcebook content with everyone who joins, and my friend joins, and can also share the sourcebook bundle they have on their account?
Yeah exactly, i know its against terms of service, which is why i was hoping somehow staff could help with the switch or something. But it sounds like we don't even need to do that
Yeah, as long as somebody has a Master sub they can enable Content Sharing - anything bought by anyone in that campaign will then share all purchased content with everyone else in the campaign.
