Hello everybody, this is my first post ever. I hope it's fine, if I post it like this.
When I'm using any of my players within my campaign and I click on short rest and add any ammount of hit dice and then proceed to click on "Take short rest" and then "Confirm", DnD Beyond will reset all the abilities which reset by short rest, but it won't add any hit points.
Am I missing something? As far as I understood, it should work like this, right?
Is this still the case today? Half of my group when they short rest it auto rolls for their health and applies the changes, however when I do it, it does not.
You would need to select the number of hit dice you are using, then click the rollable button in the sidebar to roll and then take the Short Rest to then have the HP automatically adjust.

Hi there!
You (or the player of the character) need to roll those hit dice and then increase the hit points of the character.
We are working on adding more dice-rolling to the character sheet, for exactly things like this!

This is an older thread from last year, prior to the release of Rollable Hit Dice - https://www.dndbeyond.com/changelog/1061-rollable-hit-dice
