Just did a test based on a YouTube comment from the dev update from last week.

Adding coins to an item like a Bag of Holding does not affect the weight it shows its carrying. This is true regardless of if "ignore coin weight" is on or off.

Also while here, am I missing a way to "transfer" coins between containers? It looks like if you say add 50 to the BoH, it also adds to the total, rather than moving from equipment to BoH

Having had a look, it appears that coin weight isn't considered when the coins are inside any container, not just the bag of holding. I believe this is because the feature is still in beta, but I will pass it along

About a year on now, (as a Software Dev I understand) and I hoping this could be patched, Its actually causing a surprising of pain and confusing within my players and managing large amounts of gold (specifically within the bag of holding), and I have now had to go back and retroactively edit the amount of money stolen from a massive heist due to a miss-understanding on weight on the player side. luckily i caught it before the next session so their wasnt to much heartache.

In short it would be very helpful if this was fixed sometime in the near future. (edit - or at least a reassuring update on the matter lol)
