This is ongoing for me. Neither chrome or apps are working. Given the time and date and response over ogl is this whiplash against players for the different OGL complaints?
Anyone else think the timing on characters not working and the mass unsubbing is a bit sus? My characters stopped working about an hour after I canceled mine.
Or maybe it's the fact that WOTC laid off a bunch of the DDB support staff (because they apparently thought that was a smart move) and now they are understaffed.
I could keep listing problems, but doing so wont make them fix it any faster.
I can't see my Characters at all anymore. First app had problems now this. seriously WTF. This is ridiculous. I haven't even unsubed. But I will at this rate.
Get your shit together. And fast or I'll leave with rest of people leaving.
Second day of no characters. Tried logging out, then in, to no avail. Please fix this problem as I have six characters ready for a big encounter. I must play it out to continue the story.
Seeing this today, although I can use the app, but I can no longer use character sheets for anything in the browser. Guess I subscribe and paid for content for nothing. This is a great way to get folks who were going to stay subscribed to jump ship

It's affecting people who haven't cancelled their subscriptions (yet) as well, but we're now into day four without working character sheets, so I personally am at the point where unless I get some kind of refund for the days lost I'll be cancelling mine as well, because this isn't even the only time that this has happened in the past year (it's happened at least twice more).
Whoever keeps breaking the most core feature of the site needs to be fired, and never allowed to work in web development ever again.

Ok so day three here for me. People in my campaigns have been able to access characters yet as a GM I am not able. What agitates me more is not that DnDbeyond is having technical issues but the developers/Support is actually actively ignoring us the consumers. Last thing I want to be is a Karen... but... (rolling D20 - gets a Nat 20 on intimidation) Can I speak to a manager dearie... some nice people here want someone fired, barbequed, rolled in some tar and then feathered.
Had this problem for a day too. Tried a couple of things and this worked for me: I cleared my cache and deleted my cookies. Then i had to re-log in, because that's what happens, when cookies get deleted, so if you don't have the password for your account anymore, be careful. Simply relogging did not work for me. Hope this helps others having the same problem.
I've also been having this problem. Just prior to this happening I was modifying a character and notice that I could add unlimited FEATS to a level 1 character, and that the Race I chose was re-worded to use 'Species.' Perhaps the site is down/crashing due to writing of One D&D verbiage and creation of characters using One D&D rules???

Adding "unlimited" feats isn't new, we've always been able to add additional feats as this supports their use in a bunch of different cases; my groups prefer to start at 3rd level with a bonus feat, as it lets us start with much more rounded characters, and some DMs use them as additional rewards etc., they're also the only way to support epic boons and similar features.
I hadn't noticed the change to "species" but I don't think that should affect it as it's just a change of text.
In my case the problem is definitely related to incorrectly configured CORS headers for loading the character sheet data; these headers are set on website requests to prevent data being used by sites that shouldn't be using it, or being replaced by malicious third parties etc. But those headers have been broken multiple times in the past year, despite there being no reasonable reason why anyone should be changing them. Some browsers are more sensitive to that than others though, as many browsers are less strict about it.

So, I take it you didn't find a cure and that the problem is on the server side. Also, it seems strange to me that a first level character can be built with every Feat available without restriction, especially when not fitting their background. I understand the logic of the DM awarding feats when a character proves such ability, but why then the rule to only add feats at specific level progression? May as well award ability score increases as well. My view (and this is only an opinion) is that a character can attempt any feat through the use of their ability score, but the award of a feat shows a specific level of mastery though constant study, re-study and practice. Perhaps this will be adjusted with One D&D. Build a first level character by choosing species to gain species ability bonuses, then choose 2 skills learned during your non-adventuring life, then choose 2 feats to round out your character before starting your adventuring life. Then, at specified levels, the character builds by choosing a combination of two of three (ability score increase, new or increased skill, new or increased feat); basically, character gets 2 progress points to spend.
BTW: where is the link to file a bug report?
BTW2: I've been reading and liking your other posts.
With the character service page resulting in a 403 error when i go to the character service hyperlinks. "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" is the same in chrome and firefox for CORS, so for some reason chrome is ignoring this. There are ways around, such as using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/allow-cors-access-control/lhobafahddgcelffkeicbaginigeejlf but be wary as other stuff, like youtube, doesn't seem to work with this extention. After doing that, the blocked reason changes "The value of the 'Access-Control-Allow-Credentials' header in the response is '' which must be 'true' when the request's credentials mode is 'include'. The credentials mode of requests initiated by the XMLHttpRequest is controlled by the withCredentials attribute."
After forcing a credentials header, the final end result is a 403 error with getting from the character service and on the character page. Someone else may be able to find a way to fix it, but so far it seems that the character service is broken for a few people.
I was able to get my characters back in Safari, Chrome and FireFox (on Mac), by exiting the page, going to settings (preferences) and deleting the website data (cache, cookies, etc) for that site only. With Safari and Chrome all I needed to do afterward was to log into the site again, select my character page then view a character sheet. With Firefox I had to quit and open again. All now working well, until the next time.

Additional ability score increases aren't needed because we can already override ability scores on the sheet plus a bunch of other things (add extra resistances, immunities etc.), a 1st-level character can give themselves 500 copies of the book of vile darkness and so-on; it's really no different to a player just writing whatever they want onto a physical sheet.
The DDB character sheet isn't intended to enforce every rule, it's just an aid to make things easier; a player could just suddenly give themselves 10 extra feats, but their DM is probably going to have some questions about why they've done so without permission.

I am unable to see the character sheets of the characters in my campaign. This is all I get...
I'm getting the same message!
Also, all of the characters on the app aren't loading either.

So is dndbeyond ignoring bug reports? It has been nearly two days and I still cant access my characters or make new ones.

Hi
Same. Error 500 whenever I attempt to view or edit a character on mobile. Been happening for 3+ days.

This affects me on chrome, but not firefox. If any of you are having issues, try a different browser.
If i go into inspect element on an example character sheet here, there is a few errors:
With the character service page resulting in a 403 error when i go to the character service hyperlinks. "
