i've created a subclass for the fighter and i just used a random subclass as the base, in this one it was the eldritch knight.
I've created all new abilities, renamed all and changed description, it doesn't even have the spellcasting. And yet, dndbeyond says it is too similar with the original and can't be shared.
Anyone else have this problem when using the eldritch knight as a base?
Make sure to save the subclass using the topmost save button (in the Basic Information section). The check is only run when that Save button is used.
A caveat, however: please do not publish the subclass until it has been thoroughly tested. Published homebrew cannot be edited. The best you can do is submit a new version. So if there's a typo, a math error, or something coded wrong, it cannot be easily fixed once it is published.
