Critical Role Gunslinger option shows in actual class creation but not in the general class section. Because it is a subclass it doesn't show in the additional class option with Blood Hunter. Fairly annoying if you are researching class options.
To be fair this isn't really sufficient. When I am making a new character I like to look at the different classes as overall things. The class pages present this opportunity to review the class, and the available subclasses, as a whole for easier comparison to other classes I may choose, especially if I'm planning a multiclass.
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever for not putting Gunslinger on the Fighter page. You just put i there and include a message that it is playtest just like you do for Unearthed Arcana stuff like Circle of Spores for Druid. Just a message to say this is Critical Role unofficial content and to check with a DM. You've covered youself and we get to easily view the subclass when reviewing the Fighter class as a whole. You could also add the link in the Critical Role class menu so if we wanted to quickly view what is offered from Critical Role we can do so easily.
It baffles me no end that consider this is an easy 5-minute at best thing to add this and given admin are perfectly aware people have requested this, it remains undone. Essentially this subclass is "released" but buried because it is hard for people to find. Especially since the Critical Role switch when making a character is Off by default. I still come across people who use D&D Beyond who had no idea this subclass was available and were trying to recreate it as homebrew.
I am sorry for this mini-rant, it's just when I saw the thread and that it had been replied to by a mod I was expecting some info on the fighter page being updates or something. Instead it's just a link with no info or reason why after all this time the Fighter page still has nothing about the subclass on it. It comes across as D&D Beyond making the deliberate decision to bury it. The whole purpose of this site's existence is to make it easier for players and this seemingly deliberate decision to not make the subclass info readily available is going against that very purpose.
Will this ever be addressed? It's what your customers want and it can be achieved in a coffee break.

While I totally agree with your suggestion, your tone is not ideal and assumptions about how much work something will take is never a good idea even as someone that does the same job for a living. There are always complications you don't know about, or the things that seem hard might actually be trivially simple because of how the system was already built.

We will have to disagree about how you are choosing to interpret my tone.
The Giant Soul subclass for Sorcerer was released in Unearthed Arcana on 11th June. D&D Beyond had this class, with the details on Sorcerer page, available on 18th June. That's from nothing to full subclass and with the Sorcerer page updated in 1 week.
The Gunslinger subclass was added to D&D Beyond on 11th May. That was 6 weeks and change ago. The actual write up of the details is in the separate gunslinger page and so all they need to do is copy and paste to the Fighter page, tweak for formatting and update links. This. Is. Easy. As somebody who has been coding websites for 20+ years I can guarantee you that this is incredibly simple. It makes no sense it takes 1 week (actually less considering most of this time was adding the mechanics of the subclass not just the text) for Giant Soul which is more complicated wrie-up with extra tables to format but they cannot do this for Gunslinger which has a more simple and straightforward write up and already have the text for. When I say 5 minutes / coffee break, I'm being generous. And they've had 6 weeks.

Sorry about the short reply only being a link, I didn't have time to type anything else right then.
To explain further, it's nothing to do with how easy it would be to add the content to the page - it would take 5-10 mins tops I guess, around what you guessed also.
So we are left with two conclusions - either everyone involved with the D&D Beyond site is super lazy and can't be bothered to do simple things, or there's another reason for the Gunslinger subclass not being added to the Fighter page.
Pause for a moment though and think which is more likely?
The Gunslinger is a third party product and not something released by Wizards of the Coast. This means that we cannot list it on the fighter page, with the subclasses that have been officially released by Wizards of the Coast, as it is perceived that doing so would cause confusion, with people thinking it is an official subclass. Being an official 5th edition D&D toolset has many advantages, but it also comes with constraints on what content can be added to the site and how.
That said, it has been recognised that the current menu system is overloaded, with too much going on and various content (such as the Gunslinger) not available via the menu system, so there will be an overhaul of the menu system that should assist with finding any third party subclasses.

Thank you for the swift response. I did pause to think and do understand the difference between 3rd party content and WotC content. I did not think there would be an issue though because it seemed very, very, unlikely the agreement with WotC includes a clause "you cannot organise or display non-WotC content in the same section of your website as WotC content under any circumstances". When you add the subclass to the page put in a message to specifically state it is 3rd party and not official and wham - you are covered and nobody needs to be confused. Given that availability I struggled to understand why. I mean, you don't even add the link under the Additional Class menu like Blood Hunter (also 3rd party content) - even that would be something I suppose and it takes even less time to do. It seemed you did not have this clause because an admin confirmed in a post shortly after the gunslinger release about this same topic that they were still making a decision on whether to put it on fighter page or under the Additional menu.
But, I imagine this link would be added with the menu overhaul and that will address at least part of the issue, so thank you for informing us about that.

I don't get to sit in on the meetings between staff and WotC, so I don't know details, however I have previously asked pretty much the question you did, "Could we add the Gunslinger subclass to the Fighter class page" and the reply above is what I understand to be the reason why not.
Something also worth remembering is that AL (Adventurer's League) is quite popular and AL players only want content visible that is official WotC (as well as AL compliance check - which should be coming in the future).

Very well, the answer is given,. Thank you.
Can a suggestion be made that when overhauling menus and such that they just put divisions on the class pages to have sections for "official subclasses", "unofficial unearthed arcana subclasses" and "unofficial 3rd party subclasses" and with filters at the top to toggle the unnoficial sections. Shouldn't be difficult and will fully resolve it all. We get everything in one place, AL-peeps can only view the allowed content, and WotC restriction satisfied. Everybody wins and it's easy (not coffee break easy, mind you, may take a few days as a team or a week or two if overseen by just one person - if working a few hours per day, five days a week that is, as a guesstimate). Do I need to make a separate thread for this request in Feedback forum?
