I have made some homebrew stuff and add some other folks homebrew but I am not able to access them with new characters that I create. This all changed when the 2024 updates came out

New and old classes are not the same class as far as the site is concerned. A spell that was tagged as being for clerics also needs to be tagged as being for clerics. Subclasses are class-specific.
To use the old versions of classes, turn on the "2014 core" toggle, then scroll down in class selection until you find them.
Darkbolt and Voidstrike are NOT DEFINED in Book of Ebon Tides. They are falsely referenced as being in book of Ebon Tides, because Book of Ebon Tides has 2 items that reference them, and when they are referenced they are referenced as being in Deep Magic... because they are not defined in Book of Ebon Tides.
Wand of Shadows states, "...You can also use an action to expend I or more of its charges to cast the darkbolt spell (save DC 15, see Deep Magic) from it. ...."
So in dndbeyond, the Darkbolt spell falsely states, "Source: Book of Ebon Tides", even though Darkbolt is NOT DEFINED in Book of Ebon Tides. It's defined in Deep Magic.
So dndbeyond is wrong.
But since the actual sourcebook (Deep Magic) is not in dndbeyond... it's broken.
I own the books and Bearfolk doesn't show up as a template for me. How do i get it to appear? same for Shade, and Darakhul.
What do you mean by "template"?
Sorry i was replying to another comment but yeah,. what the other person said, it was to use for homebrew since every answer i was given for making Darakhul, Shade, and Bearfolk from mods and DDB employees was "Just make it in homebrew" Why not just separate the subraces from the base raaces. make the base races an option to pick from.
I´ve been planing to make a school of shadows bard, and I have a doubt, when you use the dancing shadow feat, you and entities inside the sphere can see through?

Strictly speaking, it doesn't create actual Darkness. The way it's worded, it seems pretty clear that the intent is for it to only impair the vision of people outside the effect; anyone inside the effect can see normally.

or create them again using the new 2024 classes. That's what I'm having to do.
Im trying to create a new character but i cannot choose the regular shade species it just shows stygian shade
Same.
Does Kobold Press know about this, and can they push for the MANY fixes needed?
Cannot pick the sub-classes available in Book of Ebon Tides.
You can't if you choose a 2024 Class. You have to choose a 2014 Class.

Anyone who purchases Book of Ebon Tides on D&D Beyond receives those spells.

I had the same issue and had to start the character in the 2014 version and not the 2024.

If you have the subclasses remade for 2024 could i get a link to them :)

They're talking about the subspecies from other Kobold Press works that aren't on Beyond.
People keep thinking we have the Tome of Heroes's original forms for Bearfolk, Shade & Darakhul on here due to the formatting on Beyond.

They already are separate. If you want to make another type of Bearfolk, click “Create Species Option”, then choose Bearfolk as the parent.
