Hi, just noticed it seems my lance in my 2014 dnd campaign has been updated, and i would really like to change it back but it doesnt seem like there is an easy option to do so. While mostly the weapon updates do not make a lot of difference, for the lance it reduces the damage dice so it is effectively a different weapon. In addition the customize weapon option doesn't seem like it allows me to change the damage dice.
I also have this issue, and support was no help. They just repeat things about legacy subclasses if you ask them about the lance, for some reason. So it doesnt sound like there are any plans to add a legacy version of the lance.
I ended up making a custom item using the homebrew tools for the legacy lance. I used a greatsword, removed the heavy and two-handed properties, added reach, and changed the damage type to piercing. It's close enough, but it's still a pain in the butt and not something we should have to do. I should have access to content I purchased.

How would i go about changing it back?

Double-checked.
Looks like Lance (1d12 -> 1d10) and Trident (1d6/8 -> 1d8/10) are the two that have this issue, right?
Certainly would be useful to keep the legacy versions with the proper damage dice.
This is a signature. It was a simple signature. But it has been upgraded.
