The game mechanics for your 2014 characters will not be impacted, and all spells, abilities, items, and conditions will display information in line with 2014 rules.
The previous changelog update (following the hurried deprecation of the 2014 rules nerf plans) stated this:
We are not changing players’ current character sheets, except for relabeling and renaming. Examples include Races to Species, Inspiration to Heroic Inspiration, and Cast Spell to Magic.
Very clear, then. No changes to 2014 character sheets other than labels (and some spells given a legacy tag). That is the target behaviour of 2014 character sheets.
However, this is quite obviously not the case. There is therefore a bug in 2014 character sheets causing unintended behaviour - and this needs to be rectified.
For instance, 2014 character sheets now display 2024 rules on unarmed strikes:
Unarmed Strike
You make a melee attack that involves using your body to deal one of the following effects:
Damage. You make an attack roll against the creature, and on a hit, you deal 1 + STR Bludgeoning damage.
Grapple. The target must succeed on a Str./Dex. (it chooses which) saving throw (DC = 8 + Prof. Bonus + Str.) or it has the Grappled condition.
Shove. The target must succeed on a Str./Dex. (it chooses which) saving throw (DC = 8 + Prof. Bonus + Str.) or you can either push it 5 ft. away or cause it to have the Prone condition.
This is not how Grapple or Shove work. Not under 2014 rules, it isn't. It is a bug, displaying incorrect information. Gone are the contested Strength/Dex checks, there's just a saving throw against a fixed DC. Booooring! And incorrect under 2014 rules.
Furthermore, spells are displaying incorrectly. My 2014 Paladin, for example, now has access to 2024 spells included in the Free Rules.
2024 Divine Smite may need to be prepped now - which is utterly bizarre for a core ability (unlike the 2014 version) - but it states no upper limit on dice, so a 2014 multiclassed full caster with Paladin dip could wreak huge damage with a sword. Bizarre, and plainly not as intended given the nerf served to Paladins overall under 2024 rules. Other new spells are displaying alongside similar legacy versions, such as Shining Smite (2024) and Branding Smite (2014).
I'm sure Paladins aren't the only ones to experience this, yet we're offered no method to switch off 2024 free content on existing character sheets.
Sure a great big bug that delivers a functionality at odds with the desired outcome.
I will add to this, likewise one of ,y players was asking what Vex was on the shortsword (linked to weapon mastery in 2024) and my players are having to be careful to pick between legacy and 2024 spells int he spell list
I have set that the Campaign is a legacy campaign, that means myself and my players are choosing not to use any of the 2024 rules and therefore do not want to have the additional noise in our DnD beyond experience. We are seriously considering just stopping using DnD beyond, canceling our subscriptions and going back to the Pen and Paper days, turns out you can buy "legacy" spell card decks cheap online at the moment to help with spell management and we own all the books we need between us.
Are there any plans to make the experience for those of us who have chosen for different reasons not to go to 2024 rules better? Or is the hope that we will eventually cave and just switch?

There is a significant bug in all Character Sheets created under 2014 rules, which was introduced with the 2024 rules update implementation.
The DnD Beyond changelog for July - September 2024 explicitly states that 2014 characters would be unaffected by the update:

Here to second this.
Anybody going to address it, or is it just going to be swept under the rug?
...Answers came there none.
Just an echoing silence in the bottomless abyss where once respect for users and a decade of goodwill had stood.
Hellooooo? Nobody?
