So... I am adding an Alchemical Formula feature... same as UA: Artificer...
I add the has options, I add the levels, I add Class Feature Options to choose from. Great!
However, I don't know how to allow the player to pick three at level 1.
I tried 1,1,1,3,9,14,17 which would be great and simple if it worked, but it crashes with a 500 error.
The only other way I can think to do this is to add them ALL again two more times... It would be great if I could "duplicate" a feature and then tweak it from there...
Any other way to do this?
Also, the Level Scaling is available at the feature level, but not within Class Feature Options. which means the alchemical "spells" can't scale without a homebrew spell for it, or granting all the abilities and then just having them pick but still list everything
I get the internal server error whenever I even attempt to change the levels where options are known section. Also, when I initially created my subclass, it removed the multiple option (ex: 1,1 saved as 1). Now i can't add or remove levels...
I have a similar problem with a Witchy subclass of Warlock I'm working out. I originally set one option per level for their so-called "recipebook", but in balancing wanted to modify when the additional recipes become available. Trying to change it after making the subclass landed me with the 500 error as well.
I found that once I tested my homebrew subclass on a new character, I was no longer able to change the "class levels where options are known" number sequence (I get the beholder error screen). Once that happens that class feature entry is also no longer deletable.
None if this is a problem if the sub-class has not yet been used in a character build. I have repeated this issue a couple of times.

Thank you - hopefully that will be useful information for the developers. :)
Has this glitch been fixed yet. I'm making a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure inspired Monk class with a LOT of class options and I'm scared stiff that if I try to see if I'm doing it right I will have to start over completely.
From what I understand, the server error message occurs if you attempt to edit the "class levels where options are known" when that subclass is currently in use by one or more characters.
What this means is, you should be able to test your subclass on a throwaway test character, then change the subclass of that character before you make changes to your subclass and you should be ok.

This did not work for me. I removed the subclass from the test character, saved the character, then went into the subclass. I still cannot change the levels where options known on the relevant subclass feature.
Edit: And just to test, I also removed it from my collection, and cleared my cache after it didn't work the first time. This still does not work for me. :(
I know this isn't a solution, but once I published the subclass and then did the "create new version" operation to make some other tweaks, I found I could delete the spoiled feature. Is there an "unpublish" option that might help as a workaround? [Publish > version > unpublish > edit ... ?]
It would be nice if there was a "duplicate" option for unpublished work in progress, as a safety or to experiment with.

This. :( Unfortunately the sublcass that is broken in this way for me is not publishable. If I could just duplicate it I could presumably fix it, but as is I'm stuck with the broken version. Thankfully it's not massively broken, and I'm semi-fixed it with a homebrew feat, but I'd love to just be able to properly fix the options.
Mine has a lot of writing and description in it. After I was facing starting from scratch the first time, I copied everything I'd written to a word file and continued refining my ideas and descriptions offline. Then when I was ready I copy/pasted everything to avoid retyping. That helped some.

Unfortunately mine is a loooot of data entry. I basically turned one of my homebrew classes into a warlock subclass, and part of that is a list of 'potions' you can brew which you add to a recipe book... So 80+ options. Then the specific invocations for another 10-15. Bleh.
I'd love for the bug to be fixed so that I can change the number of options to the proper number, as opposed to spending a loooong time redoing them all to a new version. Or, as you suggested, a 'duplicate' option for it so that the bug can be avoided all together.
For now since I'm just using it personally for playtesting I can individually add the different options as feats or magic items to fill in, but when I open it up to my group I'd sure like to be able to not have them hassle with it. :(

Playtesting Fugare Draconis, an epic tale of adventure, loss, and redemption

I am having the 500 error whenever I try to add options to my new subclass I started building.
