My 1st level 5e Monk is showing 1d6 martial arts damage instead of 1d4.
I believe this is a bug caused by implementation of 5.24 rules. As has been requested many times, we need a way to turn unwanted 5.24 content off! I don't want to build a monk to play and then have to remember to change the damage dice manually every time I need to roll damage at low levels.
I'm using the 2014 monk (should have 1d4 + dex unarmed strike damage at level 1) and it's showing the 2024 monk unarmed strike damage (1d6 + dex).
I can temporarily make a custom action Unarmed strike with a fixed damage die but I'd prefer if the default unarmed strike option is compliant with the monk version I choose.
Note for anyone trying this: you will need to choose a "Natural weapon" instead of "Unarmed strike" for the attack type, otherwise the 1d6 will override it regardless of your dice choice or whether you checked "Affected by Martial Arts" or not.
I got the same problem : One of my players' monk uses the 2024 martial art dice instead of the legacy one, even thought the character sheet was created within the 2014 rules and the feature shows that it should use the right one.
This is the only official statement that's been given:
Martial Arts. We don't have a method of disambiguating the Martial Arts granted by the 2014 Monk and the one from the 2024 Monk. As such, all Monks will temporarily match the 2024 Monk's Martial Arts Die until we’re able to fix this.

I'm also having this problem with my kenku monk: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/137143964

Any update on this issue ?
This bug is still afflicting my 2014 monk sheet. Is there an official answer?
Thank you
