My 2014 Monk was auto moved to the 2024 rules recently, and I can't find any way to fix it. I'm in the middle of remaking my character entirely, and this is really frustrating.
Having to remake a level 17 character at the beginning of a session is a pain in the butt. And there was no notification, I only noticed because the Martial Arts die was bigger (d12 instead of d10 for Lvl17 Monk).

D&D Beyond does not automatically update characters to the 2024 rules. That would be a very complex process with a lot of decision points that couldn't reasonably be automated.
However, there is a long-standing bug where the 2014 version of the Monk class is now using the Martial Arts die progression from the 2024 rules, which may be what you're running into. Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do about that until they fix it.
After remaking the character over, that does appear to be the case. That's so annoying.
It is, honestly, mind-boggling that something like that wasn't ready for the initial release, and even more so that it still persists several months later. While I'm generally pleased with the actual content in the 2024 update, the implementation of a lot of it on D&D Beyond has been severely lacking.
