Tried to use a custom sub-class today (which was working last week) and all items which have a option on level up are showing empty choice lists. Made a new custom sub-class by copying the "Gunslinger" sub-class of fighter (which I used to learn how to make sub-classes) and the same thing happens if I use a copy of that sub-class, so I know its not my sub-class that is the problem.
Can confirm, just came here to post this. Trying to implement ranger revised via subclass, and the options lists do not work. Same is true if I just make a copy of the official Hunter spec, on the copy option choice does not work.
I mean, you can look here: ddb.ac/characters/4301208/Oz9V1Y Though it is a little confusing as I am trying to overwrite the base class options. But any *Favored Enemy, REVISED isn't working.
I don't know how to share a private subclass
But you can easily see this for yourself. Go into create subclass, and choose any subclass with selectable options as a template (eg, Ranger - Hunter) and just make a straight copy of that subclass, no changes. Make a character using it, then try to select the options (Eg, Hunter's Prey). You will see that the options cannot be selected on the copy.
There was a thread created this weekend about difficulties with subclass options; https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/bugs-support/21604-homebrew-subclass-class-options-not-appearing. I have been experiencing this issue since Friday. I had a monk subclass built on the Way of the Four Elements template. I was updating it, and testing in the character builder/editor, and none of the character options for 3, 6, 11 and 17 level were in the drop down menu to choose from. I deleted the class and started over, and the same issue. I have a link to subclass, but it is not complete yet. When I try to test it, the subclass options do not show up in the drop down menu in the character editor at 3, 6, 11, & 17 level. My home brew option is checked yes.
Here is the link to the edit version since I have not made it public yet.
I created a simple test sub-class to show the issue. all it has is one class feature with 4 options. The class gets 2 picks at level 3, and one more at level 7:
If you go to the character builder, set the character level to 3, and pick the "test" subclass, you can then see the class feature is added. However, the "Choose a level 3" drop-downs are empty, and do not let you pick the options. Note: All of this worked just fine last week.
Would be really nice if HartlessD20 could take a look at this.
Essentially any homebrew class that has a feature that lets you choose between a couple options (like battlemaster maneuvers) doesn't allow you to choose any of the options while creating a character of that class in the character creator.
Moderators? Any word on this? I linked a simple example of a non-working sub-class and character as requested. Able to reproduce? Someone looking into it?
I am as well. Trying to create, and beta test a monk who’s ets a choice of disciplines at various levels. I don’t have the links and the class is still very much a work in progress but I have screen shots of a couple of options that were already created and what they show on the character builder.
I tried to make a custom subclass today, and I'm getting the same issue. In my "Choose Level 3 Option" drop-down, no options are showing up. I even added ability scores so that I can see the final character sheet, and it even says that the options exist, and that I just didn't choose one. But I went back to check, and it still didn't work.

Hi there,
we're not aware of any issues with subclass options.

I, too, am experiencing this issue in my private homebrew subclass. Someone in another thread a while back said that it was the granted option, but I've tried that both ways as well to no success.

We have a fix for this issue that will be going out sometime today.
I am the Inquisitor Imperitus. I am judge, jury, and executioner. Draw your last breath now, as I send you to the Nine Hells.
Thanks for the update!
This should be fixed now.

Sorry for replying in an old thread, but im having a similar issue. but instead of an empty drop box, no drop box shows at all
Edit: nevermind, fixed it I'm just not the brightest at 3 am
I tried to make a custom subclass today, and I'm getting the same issue. In my "Choose Level 3 Option" drop-down, no options are showing up. I even added ability scores so that I can see the final character sheet, and it even says that the options exist, and that I just didn't choose one. But I went back to check, and it still didn't work.
Do you have any options that are "Is Granted"?
Yeah. It's checked off
Un-check that.
It's still not working
Can you tell me if the red circled areas below look similar on your's? Where I have "1" you might have a different level of course.
