Originally the problem was in Edge and Firefox. Firefox is working again but that's happened before, and the problem came back.
Maps: Avatars work fine on Maps, but not in the Initiative sidebar or Token browser
My Characters & Character Sheet: Random avatars and character sheet backgrounds are not loading. Sometimes it's all of them, sometimes it's some.
I've cleared the cache and cookies a dozen times, allowed popups, allowed 3rd party tracking and all cookies, disabled all browser extensions. Reuploaded avatars. Gone through every troubleshooting step suggested by Copilot. None of that helped. Sometimes the images come back for a few minutes but then disappear again. They are currently working again in Firefox, not sure why.

I’d suggest trying it on another device and on another network. That might help diagnose where the issue lies.
Have done both, nada. Happens on all my computers, all browsers. I know that since I'm the only one having the problem it is something specific to me but I've been troubleshooting since September with no long term solution.
I've tried every troubleshooting step I could think of, and that anyone suggested. I even resulted to using chatgpt and other ai and tried their suggestions.
Do you have a friend who could log in on your device and see if they get the same issue? If it works for them, then it’s definitely a problem with your account.

Not until the game this weekend, I'll try it then.
Edit, I ran through the troubleshooting/fixing steps on all browsers/all machines at once and logged out, closed the browsers, and waited an hour. Everything is working everywhere, for now. I have 2 theories:
dndbeyond somehow corrupted data that was stored locally when I made a purchase from the marketplace (almost had to be for it to affect both browsers almost simultaneously) and the data kept getting synced through the browsers causing the problem to show up on both computers and keep coming back. Hopefully doing the fix on all browsers at the same time will be a permanent fix.
Owlbear was somehow accessing the same data and corrupting it. (seems unlikely) The issue came back today when I logged into Owlbear. (probably coincidence).
Here is the fix for future reference in case I or someone else needs it.
Disable browser sync.
Open the Console, cntrl-shift-i
Go to the Application tab (or Storage in Firefox). In the left sidebar, expand and clear ALL of these:
Cookies (under dndbeyond.com)
Local Storage (dndbeyond.com)
Session Storage (dndbeyond.com)
IndexedDB (any dndbeyond entries)
Cache Storage (any dndbeyond entries)
Close Console
Close the browser completely (not just the tab)
Wait 1 hour (may not be necessary) Open browser and log in.
I'm not using Beyonddnd extension

This problem also borks the new Maps Reveal feature. Even though it hasn't affected Maps so far, in Edge the Reveal items get an error message.
Also after a week of working in Firefox, it is now broken again in that browser, and Maps won't even launch on Firefox.
