I was revisiting the Encounter Builder and was genuinely impressed by how fluid and responsive its live search functionality is. This stands in stark contrast to every other search function across the site and app.
On the website, the general search, specific searches within categories like monsters and spells, and even the search in the Maps VTT all have significant delays and loading times. Many of these searches still require a full page refresh to work properly.
The problem is even more pronounced in the mobile app. All searches there have notable delays, despite the data being downloaded locally. This is especially frustrating for those of us who frequently need to look up rules, spells, or monsters during a live game. The result is often, "Everyone stop while we wait for the app to load," which defeats the purpose of having an on-the-go tool. Many end up printing materials ahead of time, making the app feel useless.
I'm curious why the search is so smooth in the Encounter Builder (which I understand is being replaced by the campaign builder in Maps) but not anywhere else. Is it possible for that same fluid search functionality to be implemented site-wide and, crucially, in the mobile app? Improving this would make a massive difference in usability during actual gameplay.
