Got an email today about the 3D Dice update not going to plan, and THANK YOU for contacting us and mitigating the sad sad feelings with awesome new dice skins.
Just wanted to start a thread to keep informing of the stability of the update. currently I've tried numerous dice and they don't animate in DnD Beyond UI or in Roll20.net.
Just your friendly neighborhood GM wanting to make a difference one dice roll at a time,

You can't even toggle digital dice to the ON position in Safari, but neither works, tried most of the dice and reloading the page, then getting to a character numerous ways as well as the random dice roller at bottom left of screen. Nothing animates. Also tried with Roll20 up and then just in DnDBeyond to see if the tethering was a problem. still same result.
gotta go to work,
Good Luck :-)

I assume you're using Beyond 20 or some other third-party extension. Do you have the same issues in DDB with that extension disabled? If not, then it's an issue with the extension itself.
Update: A single click on the 'To Hit' in DDB will only propagate the number-result, but no dice animation in either website: DDB or Roll20 (yes I have Beyond 20 as the extension).
If you right-click on the 'To Hit' it WILL do the dice animation on DDB, but won't propagate anything in Roll20 VTT (still using Beyond 20 extension)
with the extension turned off:
It will animate in DDB with both a single-click or right-click, but nothing is propagated to Roll20 (as expected).
Still futzy; don't know if this helps at all? Are Devs working with other VTTs to implement the adaptation? Or is this meant to push GMs to move toward using the Map VTT in DDB? I'll double check and add in PCs on a map real quick and see if it works that way as well (I assume it will as it's all in DDB, but just to be thorough).
In DDB Maps VTT: No dice animation, but it does keep a Game Log of the dice roll. Problems: it doesn't recognize map uploads and has a small limit to total uploads possible.

Need help with D&D Beyond? Come ask in the official D&D server on Discord: https://discord.gg/dnd
I’m having the same problem, and it still happens even when I disable the Beyond20 extension.
Any help will be thankful.
