So one of my players, a fighter, has a +3 to a longsword damage due to dueling and a +1 str mod. However he bought and equipped a sword shield, making him lose the dueling but it is still saying he gets the +2.
Is this a bug? If not, anyone who doesn't realize the minute calculation difference will go by the displayed amount which I believe is incorrect.
edit:
I misunderstood the 1 handed weapon as requiring nothing in the second hand. Seems a shield is acceptable.
This may be as intended, and the system simply shows you all modifiers affected by equipment at once, and it's the player's responsibility to pay attention to what may not be active at any one point in time.
For example, if I equip a character with a shield, the longbow and a greatsword, the system shows both attack options even though I'm only able to wield one of those weapons at a time. It'll also still give me the +2 to AC. It's just displaying everything I have selected as equipped, and it's my responsibility to see what may be active at any one point in time. My AC is showing 18, but I'm currently wielding my longbow so that 17 to hit does indeed hit me.
