I run a Twitch stream, and I post the character cards that pop up when sharing the link on Twitter. I do this partly as a way of trying to get a very fledgling audience excited, as well as a way to create an overlay on OBS for the player characters. It's not working for one of my players, and only one of them. All of the characters in our first campaign work every time, and three of the four in our second campaign work every time, but no matter what I do, and no matter how many times I repost it on Twitter, it doesn't work. Clicking on the link takes you to her character, and the setting is for public, so I'm not sure what's wrong.
I've discussed with the product team and they've advised that the "character card" image that's shown is only generated when you choose "shareable link" from the character menu or click the share button at the top of the character sheet.
Please try this for that character and it should resolve your issues.
This actually looks to be a bug on our end, since we don't have a current character sheet backdrop image for Blood Hunter. Since we don't have that image, we fallback to the default D&D Beyond image (if you don't choose your own), as we use the backdrops as part of the social image generations.
Once that's done, regenerating a new social link should update your character's social image.
We will be working on a fix for that. Thanks for the report!
Thank you for that info. I temporarily changed her backdrop to something different and posted the link. It worked perfectly, so I was able to download the image then change her backdrop back. I'll for sure use this workaround until you guys fix that. I appreciate the help.

Should be good to go on this one. Blood Hunter has a default backdrop now, so as long as you generate a social share link, you should see the character card now. Thanks for catching that!
If I link https://ddb.ac/characters/11826776/SGxAhG while logged in I can see the sheet, but when I go into another browser where I'm not logged in I get Error Code 874bd411e9df4ff1812384d6124f5550
This thread has aged, as it is from 2018 and the issue herein has been resolved. Please avoid reviving old threads, and instead create new ones.
Important to note that your issue does not appear to be tied to the original issue of the social media 'summary' card not working as intended, so it would be best to create a new thread that specifically addresses your issue.
I will be locking this thread now.
Thank you!
