when I search for the gunslinger class it comes up in search results, once I click it takes me to the fighter page but I can't find it. Am I missing something?

you're right I can see it through that link but I can't find it in the class list, on my own, anywhere.

The statement about that given to me before was that since D&D Beyond are considered official by WotC they have agreements in place that let them say 3rd party content cannot be put into the pages for official content - in otherwords, D&D Beyond are apparently not allowed to put the Gunslinger link on the Fighter page. I don't understand it at all but that's what I was told.

If you mean for making a character, it shows up in the builder if switch on Critical Role in home menu and advance your fighter to level 3: the Gunslinger archetype will be selectable.

Turn on cr content and it should be there. Also if you like gunslingers check this out.

For the past month, none of my players (9) have been able to see the Gunslinger subclass with Critical Roll content enabled at the Campaign & Character level. The D&D Beyond Search tool obviously has a URL for it, and you can search for Gunslinger in the search tool, but without fail, the page is broken, missing, or gone. 

Characters CANNOT select the Gunslinger subclass from the dropdown, irrespective of campaign and character settings. 

What gives?

Third party IP is currently not supported for 2024 classes on Beyond. If you want to use the Gunslinger subclass on Beyond, you need to use the legacy 2014 Fighter.

Make sure you check the relevant boxes to enable content in the character builder. If you are unsure, just check all boxes to enable all content. Once you enable all content, make sure you select the legacy 2014 Fighter. If you enabled all content and you still do not see it as an option, it means you did not select the 2014 Fighter.

This thread is for the Gunslinger Fighter subclass from Critical Role. It's free for everyone so you say you "own the gunslinger content" makes me think you are confusing this with the full class from Valda's Spire of Secrets. In any case:

First ensure entitlements are in sync here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/licenses

To use CR Gunslinger you need to make a 2014 Fighter. On the Home tab of the character builder ensure the following toggles are enabled:

• 2014 Core Rules
• Expanded Rules
• Legacy
• Critical Role (under Partnered Content)

When selecting the Class you will see the list in sections, ensure you are selecting the Fighter under the 2014 Core Rules heading with this icon:

Level the character to 3rd level and select it in the Martial Archetype feature.

To use the Valda's Spire Gunslinger, on the Home tab of the character creator ensure the following toggles are enabled:

• Core Rules
• Mage Hand Press

On the Class tab you will be able to select it.
