I'm trying make an epic leveled character that has above 30 in certain attributes. I cannot do this however as there seems to be a cap.
Keep in mind that it is possible to do this through the published rules as Epic Ability Score Improvements:
Ability Score Improvement. The character can increase one ability score by 2 or increase two ability scores by 1 each. The ability score can now be increased above 20, up to a maximum of 30.
from the Dungeon Master's Guide allows for a max of 30 while certain magic items like Tome of Understanding can increase above 30 (there's no limit)
Under no circumstances can the score exceed 30, even Jeremy Crawford himself confirmed that no magic item will allow a player to go above 30. Even the graphs don't go above 30 in the literature.
Well...one thing that kinda makes me sad (because I run DM home-brewed campaigns a lot. Currently 23 sessions into a campaign) is that we don't have the choice of being able to exceed 30. In the current campaign I am running (similar to Percy Jackson mythos) there are godlike NPC's. And rather than just pretend they have a million stats or make a monster sheet, I would rather have the choice of exceeding 30 on the score. Because monster sheets aren't easily changeable when someone casts a buff or gains an item. I have been working around it, but it feels bad being forced to play by vanilla rules because my group really enjoys ridiculous scale-ability over long campaigns.
I means....is it a code or data problem for DnD Beyond's servers? Or is it just like a *whap* play by vanilla rules plz? :/

Hello there

Having read up on the subject again, I do concede the point.
