The long and short rest feature of my beyond is simply not working, i try with different pcs... i click on it it says what I should recover but after waiting the 3 seconds nothing changes on the characters sheets...
I am wondering if anyone else is having issues where they take a long rest and their hp goes back to base hp instead of sticking at the rolled amount? Ex my cleric has 46 hp when i rolled and added the rolls. but long rest sets it back to 27
Be sure if you are using manual HP entry that you're editing the rolled values from this button in the Class pane of the Character Builder:
If you override the max HP value from the character sheet itself, the default is to reset max HP when taking a long rest. (You can un-check this option when taking a rest, but will have to remember to do so each time.)
I am not able to get the hit points to add back in during a short rest. I use the procedure described above and it works for long rest, but for short rest, the hit points are not being restored. I saw that other items that can be reset by a short rest get reset, like my Dragonborn's breath weapon.
I have 15 Current HP out of 50 Max hit points.
click on short rest button
select 3 available hit die boxes (also tried with 1, 2, 5 and 6)
click on "Take Short Rest" button
click on "Confirm" button within 3 seconds.
get message stating "Short Rest Taken"
Look at Current Hit Points - Still says 15.
The breath weapon that had been used got reset, but hit points did not.
Had a friend try it on his account on a different device and he got the same results.
You'll need to roll your hit dice yourself and then add them back with the Heal, the checkboxes are for keeping track of how many hit dice you've used.

The character sheet doesn't automatically apply healing/damage. You have to roll your hit dice and add to your current HP yourself.

You're supposed to click before the three second duration expires.

This is so you don't accidently click rest and have a bunch of resources changed.
As said above, once you have clicked "Take Long Rest" you then need to click on the "confirm" button before the timer expires.

Thank you very much! It worked.
