I'm creating a custom race based on a 2nd ed steel dragon. I want to have this race mimic the dragon aging effects in some regards. I've looked at the 5e dragons and notice that as you go from wyrmling to young dragon the blindsight and darkvision improve typically 10 to 30 ft for BS, and 60 to 120 ft for DV. It's this sense improvement that I'm trying (with no luck) to mimic on the character sheet.
I can simply add a modifier: Modifier type* Sense; Modifier subtype* blindsight; Fixed Value* 10. And I'll get 10 ft blindsight in the character sheet. Similar with Darkvision.
What I want is when the character hits 6th level for those senses to bump up. I can't find any fields that allow me to add a 'Level Override' like I can for adding actions. I also can't find a 'Required character level' field like is in options.
Has anyone run into this issue, or know of a work around?
The only way I can think to do this is to make options that have level restrictions, put the different ranges on each option, and have to edit the race when you reach those levels.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by 'Make options that have level restrictions' or the part about different ranges. I'm looking at the trait options page of the creator and see the Required character level field. That is a drop down submenu and I can only select a single level, not a range.
I have the number selected that I want, but I get no results within the actual character sheet. I think I might be fighting a bug at the same time, the save button is behaving differently then the other save buttons I've been using. But that should be a different thread I think.

Is your character the required level you selected?

Yes, because I'm creating the race to have different abilities at different levels I'm regularly changing 'manage character level' from 1 to 6 which is where I want the change to take effect. I'm only changing a single class; because I've run into the issue that character level isn't tracked as well as class level is. Since I'm still creating the race I've found it helpful to have the character sheet open in one window, and the homebrew editor open in another. This helps me spot gaps in information. I'm also refreshing every time I switch from one window to another.
When you make changes to the homebrew, unselect it and reselect it on the character. If you are still having issues, post a link to the homebrew and test character for a mod to check it (you dont have to publish anything).

Can you be more specific?
It sounds like you found all the right things based off my description, but the drop down should list 1-20.
By range I meamt your sense range. Put modifiers on the options.
The drop down lists: -, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,... 20.
