Is it possible to have the ability to change the level of a monster? If there was an input to put a specific level for a monster and have it's stats cater to it, I think it would create a diverse setting ingame. Like a CL 5 "Young" Kraken instead of a CL 23 Kraken would be an example. Customization should always be a possibility.
I'm thinking a monster builder would be introduced in phase 3, where homebrew integration and campaign management is slated to be added.
But yeah, being able to take a base monster and plug in a desired CR to get a weaker or stronger version rather than having to work it all out by hand would be great!
Y'all would have loved 4th edition. Monsters were set up in such a way that doing this was very easy. That said, I'm hoping the Beyond monster builder supports doing this as well as the Insider monster builder does.

It is a great idea. But calculating the CR of a monster it is not that easy. There is a table in the DMG, I hope they will integrate this feature.
