I play a lot of spellcasters, and I play using Dndbeyond. It would be very helpful IMO to have a way to list spells by component cost, whether a spell needs material components, if those materials cost money, etc.
If possible there would be a drop-down menu in the spells section of the character creator/sheet that adds material spell components as items in an inventory with the spell/spells attached with a search bar at the top similar to the spellbook would be very useful.
Ideally material spell components would be found in a drop-down menu inside the inventory under the Component Bag item. So that one could open their component poch and "see" what they may need to stock up on. And casting a spell that uses up a material as it is cast would deplete the amount necessary from said sub-inventory.
I'm sure I'm not the only one, and if there is already a post describing this feature, I would be happy to link it from here to consolidate support for those of like mind.
For my Cleric I have added items like Diamond and Powdered Silver to my Alms Box, which is a container now. This way I can keep track of my consumable components by changing the cost. It is a lot of custom items which could be made simpler if the material components would already have the correct name in the inventory.
I tried to create Pouch for Ceremony in the Homebrew magic item section, but those are not stackable :( That would have been a nice solution to have pre made pouches per spell to consume.
I hope something like this will be added. And if it's linked to the spell being cast it would be even better! (But more complicated for the Devs.)
