I posted this to a separate chain about homebrew classes, but wanted to make it its own thread, because I really think this could be a great mid-term solution to allow people to homebrew classes. In addition to below, being able to change how your class appears in the character sheet would also be nice, similar to how you can rename items. This and the feature requested below are both things that are already implemented elsewhere on the character sheet, so hopefully this is something that could be implemented quickly.
There's a pretty easy fix. If dndbeyond would allow us to "Hide" features on a page like they do the unarmed strike, then you could use the fighter class for martial, ranger for half-caster, and wizard for full caster, redo your proficiecies on your character sheet, and create feats like (1st Level Gunslinger), (2nd Level Gunslinger) and then create subclasses for the fighter that would be for your gunslinger and there you go. Done. Currently you can still do it this way, but all of the fighter features will still be on your sheet which just makes it messy. Just let us be able to hide features and this will work in the meantime.
It doesn't allow for homebrewing base classes: if you're making a character you have to use one of the classes that Wizards created, so I can't see it allowing you to hide a base feature of a base class.
While that is true that there aren't any homebrew options for base classes like fighting styles, eldritch invocations, etc. I feel like making something hidden on a character sheet is more a preference thing than a homebrew to be honest, because let's say there's a feature you just don't use. You still have access to it, it's just hidden on your sheet. Any you technically can change the proficiencies that your base class gives you, so there's that as well. Either way, something as easy as a toggle to hide feature like the unarmed strike is such a simple addition that can help so many people that want to try and homebrew classes.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure their license with WotC won't allow for this.

That doesn't make any sense to me because if their license allows for homebrew, which it obviously does, then this shouldn't be an issue.
