I've been working on a level 20 Paladin character who'll be a villain in my campaign, and I noticed that there isn't yet a built-in synergy with weapon attacks and Improved Divine Smite.
Starting at level 11, all melee weapon strikes a Paladin lands should be causing an extra 1d8 Radiant damage, but this feature is neither automatically added on a Paladin's melee weapon attacks, nor is it possible with the custom attack editor to create it.
The problem is that the attack editor only allows for 1 type of damage die, so in the case of my Paladin which uses a Greatsword, I can't make "2d6 + 1d8 + STR", having to choose either 2d6 or 1d8.
Considering the amount of possibilities for different dice in a single attack (elemental weapons, sneak attacks, paladins...) it'd be nice if we could configure Custom Attacks to have different die types, something like an "Add more damage dice" option; otherwise creating a lvl 11 Paladin who uses a Greataxe with a 1d6 fire enchantment would be impossible, with the current system I can't find a way to write an attack with a 1d12 + 1d8 + 1d6 + STR damage.
Of course, it'd be even better if a Paladin who reaches level 11 automatically gets the 1d8 added to all melee weapon damages they have.
