There is an issue with the homebrew creator where you can add a modifier for "Half Proficiency" on saving throws (specifically or generally), but it doesn't show up on the character sheet. I've tested this with magic items, feats, and subclasses, and wanted to bring it to the attention of a dev if it's not already. I love making homebrew on dndbeyond and it sucks when I run into an issue like this that's literally just a mistake or bug of some sort rather than the product of limited time & energy available to code new features onto the site (like the recent updates to inventory and of course the highly anticipated "general features" update). Honestly I'd even take just a post it note at the bottom of a pile of minor issues to fix.
I believe this issue has been raised in the past, but I’ve passed this along to the team! (Edit: No official published material grants half proficiency to saving throws, which is why this has not been implemented.)
Also, it’s not ideal, but sometimes when I homebrew something that isn't possible to automate in the current system, I’ll add a little note to the subclass feature directing the player how to make the feature functional, like the following:
HOMEBREW LIMITATIONS
Due to current limitations in the homebrew builder, half proficiency is not automatically applied to these saving throws. To gain the full benefits of this feature, you must customize each appropriate Saving Throw Proficiency Level to Half Proficient directly on the character sheet.
Thank you so much!! I usually do put notes like that in my homebrew while I wait for the builder to be updated, but this one just seemed like it was an easy fix. Of course, I might be totally wrong about that and know next to nothing about this type of coding so I'm happy to be patient if it's not that easy or if the team is busy with other stuff.
