They are working on it. In meantime for the items that are in the bag of holding on your character sheet you can customise them and change their weight to 0.

Currently, for me, the biggest annoyance of the character sheet is the inability to utilise off-character storage, or containers like a Bag of Holding. If you're using Variant Encumbrance, then things like carts and an established camp with NPC's, becomes an almost mandatory accessory to the adventuring party, simply because they can't carry much more than their own, necessary-in-the-moment, gear.
The current work-around is to make it a custom item with no weight but... ugh.

@'ing doesn't work on the forums, especially at the devs (who I wouldn't be surprised if they avoid the forums, I know devs did at the companies I've worked out). As for movement, it's still on the trello board.
Also, necro'ing any thread inactive for longer than 6 months is against forum rules.
Hi Davyd, I know what you said about necroing old threads but I still feel that it's better than starting a new one with the exact same question but without the context.
Is there any update regarding containers? I wanted to check the Trello board but the only thing I saw was this message:
Hey Beyonder’s, the team is moving away from Trello internally. We will no longer be keeping this Trello board maintained. The team is exploring new ways to share our upcoming roadmaps and news, so continue to check in at www.dndbeyond.com for updates, as 2021 promises to be an exciting year full of new things.
How long do people have to constantly ask for better options with the Bag of Holding before the developers do something about it? Quit saying "It's being worked on" and actually get it out there. 4 years is plenty of time.

As much as I like this to be done as soon as possible, there are other higher priority items on the list to do, and Beyond is not exactly swimming in resources and manpower. Spell Points, homebrew fighting styles/meta-magic/battle master maneuvers/invocations/pacts, epic boons, charms, etc. are far more pressing in my opinion and they still are not implemented either.
I understand the frustration, but it is not helpful to shoot the messenger. And in this case, knowing that the developers are working on it is better than having moderators be silent and not responding to these requests/questions at all.
When calculating encumbrance, if a character has a bag of holding shouldn't that factor into their carrying capacity? Thoughts? Resolutions?
Containers are not currently a function of the character sheet. They will be coming later after the character sheet revamp.
Has there been any further discussion about having bags of holding assist with the calculation of encumbrance?

What I have done is take the weight of all the contents and make the weight of the Bag of holding -(content weight+15) to work it out.
Not perfect, but weights work.
@Devs Has there been any movement on this issue/request?
