I work with therapist to run D&D therapy groups for kids. I currently have multiple different groups, but we meet in person, and I use use this site to build and keep all of their characters. I would like to be able to use the Encounter tool for these groups, but I can't put 1 or more of my own characters in my own encounter (unless I am just missing this) This would make it SO much easier for me to run plan and run my encounters, since I have three sessions a week, and am getting ready for a 4th. Just having one tab on my laptop would defiantly be less stress, and I'm sure others could make use of it too!

I work with Local therapists to run therapeutic D&D groups for kids, and have been doing so for almost a year and have grown from 1 small group to 4 different groups. I have more experience in working with groups of kids than being a DM/GM, but I have learned a lot through trial in error. I am in no way an expert on this new trend of Professional Therapeutic TTRPGs, but I anyone would like to have a chat, I would be more than willing to share what I know!

Create a campaign, put multiple characters in that campaign and then create an encounter and add those to the encounter.
Change the damn letters to numbers, or at least give us an option. The encounter beta is useless if I have large groups of monsters. The argument some dev made about putting out goblin (f) so your players don’t know how many monsters there are is pathetic, and forces us to play their way.
Why are there no condition/concentration trackers?

Leaving OGL 1.0(a) untouched and making SRD 5.1 CC-BY-4.0 is a great first step. The next is a promise to do the same for future editions. Here's a discussion thread on that.
Thank you for your reply! I did try this in the past, but if I want to add characters of my own to these campaigns, it seems to only let me do this if I create a new character. Is there no way to add characters that I have already made? Or is the only way to remake each one?

Make sure they are not in another campaign. When you click the invite link you should be able to select a character
You are a life saver! This is going to help so much with my current groups and will make planning that much easier!
I do think they should make that a little more obvious. I can have my moments of... stupidity, if I'm being honest. However I am usually pretty good at poking around and finding things. So I imagine I'm not the only one who had trouble figuring that out.

I don't know where this would fit in, however for some of my named antagonists, i want to create a full character sheet rather than using a 'monster' . I'd like to too create sheet for characters then make that char the antagonist in an encounter.
Has it been considered to be able to add NPCs/monsters as allies rather than enemies? It is helpful for items like Curse of Strahd and fated allies, Esmerelda, etc.
My top request would be for a folder system. my campaign has many sub adventures and I would like to section them off so I find what I am looking for more often
Please make the tool available on the android app even though it is in just beta. It would save a lot of space to manage it on my tablet and not having to put a 15"6' laptop on the table!

Hello D&D.
First off, the feedback portal link for My Encounters is broken.
Second, I have suggestions for the encounters functionality. See poll.
I like that damage or healing done to players in the encounter actually update the relevant player sheet. More of that would be cool.
Thank you!

DDB is great, but it could be better. Here are some things I think could improve DDB

I currently make my own characters as fightable NPC's in my campaigns and I think that would be nice to be able to add my own characters as enemies.
I don't know where this would fit in, however for some of my named antagonists, i want to create a full character sheet rather than using a 'monster' . I'd like to too create sheet for characters then make that char the antagonist in an encounter.
Is that a viable request?
