It isn't a huge thing to not have Roll20 integration yet, however it shouldn't be hard to have an XML export because PDF is already in place. That could then be imported into other applications like Roll20
It works very well. you simply go to your character sheet on dndbeyond and type /json at the end of the URL. copy that and inside of roll20 you type !beyond import and then paste your json and press enter. If there are no issues it generates a new character or overwrites the old one with the same name. I did find a few issues with it when dealing with Nets and classes that were not part of the shaped sheet like "blood hunter" I have sent corrections to the owner of the script so hopefully they will be added into his next release.

Is there a way this could be used for monster stat blocks? like say I buy the monster manual and while running the campaign on Roll20 I pull up the token for a random monster, could I somehow grab the stats from dndbeyond and spit em out on roll 20 similarly to what is currently done for characters using the !beyond script?
Yep, because you need to have api/script access which only comes with a pro account
Do all players have to have a Pro account to use this, or can it just be the DM?
Just the DM - the person who made the game.

Particularly interested in this one for transferring homebrew monsters easily.
I pretty much like this browser addon instead of inport/export https://beyond20.here-for-more.info/ the DM must be ok with it, but usually it should be no problem for him, even more convenient.
Make sure to turn off the dnd beyond character sheet dice when using it or you will have a confusing experience.
I noticed that the bars that show the HP in Roll20 do not update when the info is changed on DNDBeyond. Does Beyond20 not do that or is there something I am missing on Roll20. Like it saves it for the session but the next session and a different map the tokens do not seem to be linked up with the HP and AC here in DNDBeyond? I have not used API much so not sure if there is something I have to do there or not. The names match and when we update during a session the values change but not when I change maps.
Thanks

This is already a project and does work with the Roll20 API for OGL and Shaped Sheets. https://github.com/RobinKuiper/Roll20APIScripts.
How well does this work? Because that would be awesome

You're right, I tried it and it works great

Just confirming; to make this script work you need to be a Pro subscriber to Roll20? Is that right?
Yep, because you need to have api/script access which only comes with a pro account

Actually it doesn't work anymore. Once you add /son at the end of the URL of your character, it gives you a 'Page not found' kinda error.
Go to this Link: https://character-service.dndbeyond.com/character/v3/character/XXXXXXXX where the XXXXXXX is the Number in the URL of your Character (https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/.../characters/XXXXXXXX)
This only works for characters, not for monsters.
Where inside roll20 do you type this?
I'd like to know this also....
