1. Allow the GM to create characters and add them to the campaign that doesn't count towards the 6 character limit. Allow it to be hidden from other players.
2. Base the 6 slots based on the players and not the characters. That way someone can create a replacement character and get it reviewed by the GM ahead of time.
Minor campaign tool. Allow the gm to attach monsters to the campaign with notes.
I know campaign tools are a lower priority and agree with it but a few things that allow you to click a button to see all the monsters you have clicked and to easily view the NPC characters you have created.
The 6 character limit is for individual accounts, not campaigns. To the best of my knowledge, you can have a campaign where everyone has free accounts and have more than six players/characters in the campaign. So unless I'm misunderstanding you, I believe #2 is already possible.
I'm pretty sure the guy who has two characters is being counted for both characters even though they are from the same account. (Maybe it just shows in the list and if I get to six players it will give me a second one)
Also the character that I created is being counted.
So I have a "campaign" consisting of one of my own characters, and two characters from another person. I do see on the campaign summary page that there are "3 players," when in actuality there are only 2. There have been requests to count by actual players rather than characters. I don't remember what the official response to those requests have been, but adding your voice to those requesting is helpful, as it gives Curse a sense of how many people are interested in that feature.
That said, I can find nowhere that indicates campaigns are limited to six characters--the only limit I know if in that regard is 12 characters per campaign for the purposes of content sharing.
On a side note, I’d like to see ways to even expand stored characters in general. I’d pay a few bucks to add slots. Whether it be a certain amount per character or a batch of another six (or other quantity) doesn’t matter. I just like character creation and having more slots would be helpful.

In the most recent developer update, I believe BadEye mentioned something to the effect that the intent is 12 players, but currently the set up is 12 characters, and that it's something being looked into. He's always watching, even if scrying from afar, so keep watch for one of his eyestalks. He might pop in and clarify my memory.
I would pay a $1 or $2 extra a month to increase my campaign size fyi. I can understand why not unlimited to maybe 10 which is essentially big enough for most campaigns and maybe an even higher amount for those in really strange situations
I have to admit I wouldn't pay a lot to increase the campaign character size. $5/month would probably be my max.
