I ran into difficulties trying to give specific feedback on the Beta access encounter builder, so I figured I would just post it here. The encounter builder provides summaries of the encounters you build in terms of an XP budget to help you gauge the difficulty of the encounters you create. This is great. Ever since I started DMing I've been using XP budgets as I have a table of 6 players so CR isn't as relatable to me. The issue is in the encounter builder, in the details of each enemy, the columns are 'Name', 'Type', 'Size', and 'CR'. As I said above, 'CR' is unrelatable for tables that aren't running 4 players. Also, the summary gives details in XP budget. To me, it makes no sense to give summaries in XP, but use CR in the enemy details. I think it would be better if the enemy details showed XP instead of CR. This would mean that, if you are making an encounter and are short, say, 300XP from the difficulty you want it to be, you could search for enemies around that amount of XP to bump the encounter up. This is much easier to do than trying to go by CR.
