As a Dungeon Master, I want to refer to maps as the "Game Canvas" and support the sharing of these canvases along with images from source books and my own content, So that the game environment is more immersive and customizable for the players.
User Story 2: Quick Map Loading with Fog of War
As a Dungeon Master, I want to quickly load any map from a campaign sourcebook into the Maps player view with the full fog of war enabled, So that I can share maps with my characters with minimal setup experience and without revealing unexplored areas DM maps should never be loaded unless DM manual forces it.
User Story 3: Pre-Built Encounters with Community Contributions
As a Dungeon Master, I want encounters within modules to be pre-built and accessible through an encounter icon in the source book and/or within the encounter builder, So that I can run sessions with minimal preparation.
N.B you could leverage the community built content development with a quality assurance process can help build these encounters quickly and inexpensively.
User Story 4: Integrated Campaigns, Maps, and Encounters
As a Dungeon Master, I need the campaigns, sourcebooks, maps, and encounters to be seamlessly linked, making it feel like a cohesive system rather than separate components, So that navigation is simplified and the gameplay experience is enhanced making it fast to set up a play session.
User Story 5: Encounter and Map Integration with Dynamic Features
As a Dungeon Master, When I select an encounter linked to a map marker, I want a button that populates the monsters on the map, all invisible initially, and as the encounter progresses, I want the ability to highlight tokens, and when a monster dies, it should be greyed out or marked with a skull icon, So that the visual representation of the encounter's progress is enhanced.
User Story 6: Interactive Map for Player Actions
As a Dungeon Master, When a player indicates they want to attack a specific creature by clicking on it on the map, I want it to be highlighted in the Encounters tracker, So that I can easily see which creature the player is targeting, eliminating the need for naming monsters sequentially and saving DM's time during setup.
User Story 7: Importing Images from Source Books
As a Dungeon Master, I want to import and share images directly from official source books onto the Game Canvas with minimal work from the DM So that I can enhance the storytelling with official artwork and help players immerse themselves in the game world.
I wish I could upvote this. There should also be far greater flexibility for creating homebrew anything. There is mo reason why each homebrew category is restricted or limited in some way. Why can't a magic item have the same level scaling and additional feature options as a spell homebrew or subclass? There are so many instances where I have to make a homebrew spell, feature, subclass, etc. to be able to create what I want. Also, we need the ability to make homebrew races. As a subscriber, we should be receiving regular QOL updates and not having to go to other means even third party to supplement dndbeyond incapabilities. It's growing to a point competition is rising and dndbeyond is becoming obsolete. I hope dndbeyond can read this. Wishing the best and hopefully these and many other requests are being worked on with OneD&D release.
