As I am switching back and forth to FB Messenger to messenge my PC's, it occurred to me that having a DM's messenger would be a great tool to use in dndbeyond. If I could see comments from all the PC's as a DM, and the PC's could only see comments posted from me, that would make Perception, Insight, or contested rolls so much easier. Are there any thoughts on this useful integration or current workings on it? I love using dndbeyond running my campaign, but sometimes switching apps on my iPad gets a little old when the story is getting deep. Thanks for all your hard work!
On the private messages page click on New Message button on the left. You will be presented with a screen for creating messages. You can add your players by putting their names in the Recipients box, separating each name with a semi-colon ( ; ).
When you send the message it sends it to all recipients and basically creates a private mini-forum. Any replies by you or any player go to all players. It is a great way to conveniently discuss the game with your players and for them to discuss with each other. You can add more people to the conversation or remove them should your player list change.
Hope this helps.

Yes! It certainly does help, but can this be used while viewing a character sheet as well? I'll have to play around with it, but I'm trying to avoid having to open up yet another tab when I'm running a game.

Too clunky and too many steps. A simple messaging system built into the campaign page is what I hope to eventually see.

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
The Private Message feature is fine for generic communication with other DDB users, but for running and participating in a game session, a simple chat feature added to the Game Log would be far more useful.
That part. plus you cant even give the people in your DMs nicknames. You just have to know that my User name is Vixen Madness but the character that im running is named Natana. Those DMs are from an IRL perspective for PLAYERS not for CHARACTER communication. I 100% agree to clunky and to many steps

Thank you though!
