It looks like back in 2020 (see link to older post below) this was a planned future feature, that at least then the idea was to eventually provide a random treasure generator for D&D Beyond in the tools section assumedly. I think that'd be huge. As it is, I'm having to use 3rd party stuff if I want to do this quickly...but I'd like the ability to roll to include treasure from all the books I own, not just what's in the DMG. That would be amazing.
Now, I fully understand that there's going to be tremendous work in the coming year to prep everything for the upcoming core books. Not only that but you're doing fantastic work with maps, which despite having less features than others I've decided to use in both my games. It makes preparation, or just having a random encounter, much easier. So, I understand and respect that you're all very busy. But...the treasure is already in the character inventories. It's already classified. So a rudimentary loot generation tool doesn't seem a far stretch, or a tremendous task. Perhaps there are aspects of it I haven't thought of. It just seems like an easy win for the D&D Beyond team, something to improve quality of life for all DMs who use D&D Beyond already, and a draw for those who don't yet. Heck, you've already built a great magic items page. It seems like most of the work is already done.
