I feel like there needs to be a page or pop out box you open off your druid character sheet that is a stat block and actions for the wild shape. You use a drop box to pick the animal and it auto fills the appropriate stats and actions, gives you a hit point tracker, and basically acts as a mini character sheet with the relevant stuff from the druid's sheet represented.
It would greatly accelerate the flow of play when you need to take shapes you don't usually do, so don't have it all figured out already. It would also let you have your dice rolling for the VTT on hand on that page rather than having to go to a separate tab.
Is there a reason you don't just use the Wildeshape option under Extras?

That just gives you the stat block straight from the monster manual, so it doesnt solve the need for things like having to split the player's attention between two seperate locations for their CHA/WIS/INT saves and the STR/DEX/CON of the wild shape, and of course does not include things like the actions available to the moon circle druid being able to expend spell slots to self heal, hence the desire for an autofill box that plugs in the druid since of the character sheet into a stat block with all relevant stats, actions, and resists according to the druids level to modify the monster stat block.
It's just a convenience thing to make these automated for newer players, or those with issues such as attention or reading complications that impede their ability to keep track of things effectively, and removes the burden on the DM to have to track and calculate everything for that player in that situation.
If you select 'wildshape' from the dropdown, it absolutely takes into account your stats. The basic stats, saving throws, and abilities reflect the fact that you're a PC druid and not a NPC statblock. Things involving spellcasting still happen on the spellcasting tab, but frankly that makes sense as it has to do with spellcasting and not the stats of the wildshaped form.
Wait, your right, it does that now. When was that implemented? Last time I ran a campaign, that was most certainly not an option, though as I recall the extras tab was fairly new back then.
Well, then an adjustment to the initial points would be to stop making the sidebar close every time you click on anything, but being able to select an attack roll the same way you do with weapons on the character sheet rather than having to manually roll and add the correct bonus would still stand.
It's been set up like this for years, but it might not have been in the first pass.
You can stop the sidebar from closing by clicking the 'lock' icon at the very top, but if you've got a small screen, it'll sit on top of your main tab and hide info, so I'd only do that if you have a larger monitor.
