Adventures of Greyhawk asks that you only use the players handbook. So, why is there not a, (Build my character only using the Players Handbook) button?
Seriously, this should be easier. Every stage of the character creation needs this. Not every feature tells you the source when you pick it, so you either find it out later, or when someone at a table says, "Hey, that is from xxx, not the players handbook." This is annoying.
This already exists; it is exactly what the "Sources" options on the Home tab of the character builder are for.
If you check "Core Rules" and leave all the other boxes unchecked, you'll only see options from the core books (of which the Player's Handbook is the only one that really has any character options in it).
Wrong, it includes the news Heroes of Feywild expansion, which cannot be used in Adventures of Greyhawk. That is LITERALLY what brought this to my attention. Apparently, there are no Spellfire sorcerers in Greyhawk. They show up when using Core rules. However, if you do not click core rules, you get only one background available, Acolyte.
Do you mean "Heroes of Faerun"? Those options (including the Spellfire Sorcery subclass) are not included under "Core Rules", they're under "Expanded Rules".
It specifically says it includes things from the Dungeons Master Guide, and Monster Manual, which show up in feats I noticed, and other places. There should be a button for Greyhawk.

Yes, but there aren't any character options in the 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide or Monster Manual, so that shouldn't be a problem for you.
There are no Greyhawk-specific official character options to filter to, so a "button for Greyhawk" would just be the same as the Core Rules filter.

The Dungeon Master's Guide contains the magic items, and the Monster Manual contains a lot of creatures for things like Wild Shape and Find familiar, so those sources would be needed too, even if you were playing "PHB only".
The source toggle you're asking for would need to be immediately disabled once you actually started playing.
The core content toggle works perfectly for Adventures of Greyhawk, just don't go adding any magic items or weird monsters which aren't a part of character creation anyway.

Legends of Greyhawk has a specific set of options that you can enable, listed in their guide.
It's wrong still, but only because you must have Core Rules enabled. This is what you should have to meet the Legends of Greyhawk requirements:
This will only allow you to choose options and items from the 2024 Players Handbook, 2024 Dungeon Master's Guide, 2025 Monster Manual, Heroes of Faerun and Adventures in Faerun (currently).
So this is very easy and it's always the first page of the character builder if you use the standard method. If you want to omit the Faerun books, you simply uncheck Expanded Rules and you'll get exactly what you asked for.
A note on the Spellfire elements. Wizards of the Coast is not writing Legends of Greyhawk. That's third party publishers like Baldman Games. So they aren't here to fix every tiny aspect for you, and doing so would make it inordinately more confusing for people, because WOTC doesn't control the rules of what's included or not included.
It will be very helpful moving forward is "Expanded Content" had an optional expansion list like "Choose Partners" to pick specific supplements. As it stands, once the Eberron book comes out, there is no way to choose only the FR or Eberron options, you have to enable both. This will only become a bigger issue going forward.
