On all social media sites that allow for followers, there is an additional function to block certain people from following you. Could we please have that function added here?

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
"Where words fail, swords prevail. Where blood is spilled, my cup is filled" -Cartaphilus
"I have found the answer to the meaning of life. You ask me what the answer is? You already know what the answer to life is. You fear it more than the strike of a viper, the ravages of disease, the ire of a lover. The answer is always death. But death is a gentle mistress with a sweet embrace, and you owe her a debt of restitution. Life is not a gift, it is a loan."
This function is mostly present on social media, as it is an unmoderated platform.
The D&D Beyond forums are a moderated platform and, as such, if any user experiences issues with another user harassing them or behaving in an unsuitable manner, then they should contact a moderator for assistance - either by using the report button, or by messaging a moderator.
Can you elucidate on scenarios where you feel that being able to block other users from following you would be useful?
Before any such discussion can take place, we'd have to define what we mean by "moderated"
In this case I am referring to active moderation:
The majority of forum posts are actively read by a moderator.
Moderators take a proactive role in moderating, rather than waiting for users to report content.
Moderators participate in discussion with the community.
Moderators can be contacted directly, easily and are quick to respond to users.
With that definition, I'm not sure I could name a social media site that does that.
Additionally, the reason that social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr etc feature the ability to block users is because all of the content on those sites is user generated and it gives users more control to avoid harassment without the platform support team needing to be involved.
Simply - I don't actually see how the function you're asking for would be useful?

What you just did there? That's called shifting goalposts.
Simply - I don't actually see how the function you're asking for would be useful?
Why do I have to justify a request? It's a pretty basic function of all other forums and social media and yet here you are arguing with me and demanding I give you my personal reasonings for wanting it. How about this for a justification? I don't want people following me here.

Apologies if my previous posts came across as confrontational - that wasn't intended.
I'd like to be able to understand what the issues are that you're experiencing, so that I can discuss with the product team and find a suitable solution.
It is my experience that often when people ask for a specific solution, it's because there is an issue they're trying to solve. By trying to understand the core issue, we can better determine how to address it.

Probably a worthwhile thing to make available.

Name one social media site that is unmoderated.
