Heya! This may be a little early, but I have a couple requests/questions for beta phase 3:
One of my biggest problems as a DM is maps. I'm playing through Tales from the Yawning Portal currently (we've just begun), and in the Sunless Citadel, we had a really hard time with the maps. The book recommends having one of the players make a map, but the areas have strange shapes, so I ended up scanning the DM map and using clone stamp to remove the traps (I left the secret doors on there). Will the published campaigns have player maps uploaded to D&D Beyond? I'm imagining everyone having digital counters that they move around on a map everyone can see from their own computers. That would make things a lot easier for DMs, I think. It would also be fun if the areas revealed themselves as the characters moved throughout the map.
Another thing I would love to see is a map-maker. I'm not sure how the physical tiles have worked for people, but an authentic online D&D mapmaker with all the tiles one would need would be awesome. And then a way to download the map (I'm thinking about DMs' Guild here) would be great, even if there was a watermark.
Thank you for doing such a great job so far! I'm on the edge of my seat for phase 2!

P.S. this stuff may have been mentioned before, so I apologize for any repetition. I also apologize for using the word "map" so many times.
Staff has indicated that they are not trying to imitate or replace a virtual tabletop, but would prefer the tools to be used in conjunction with those that are already available.
However, staff has been known to change their plans based on user feedback. ;)
