Hi Chaps, awesome work on the Character builder! I noticed that the Forest Gnome is missing, guessing this is in the pipeline?
For the beta, only the rules and options provided in the D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, Elemental Evil Companion are available in Beyond. Once the full platform launches later this summer, the core rule books and others will be available for purchase, and the content within will be available for those that purchase, or have access through a DM's subscription.
Great work so far. One thing that I can't find and that would be helpful is an ammunition tracker. I can add different amounts of arrows and bolts but then I can't find them in my equipment. I would be happy if there where a skill manager like there is a spell manager. It would help me not choosing the same skill twice. Nothing that is that big or that important but two small thing that would help me and hopefully people like me.
When selecting the High Elf Race, one of the options is to select a Cantrip.
The Spell List that appears is not allowing choices from all of the available Cantrip choices, or so it appears.
When searching the Spell List, Green Flame Blade can be found, but it appears it is not 'linked' to Wizard or to Cantrip, and so not appearing.
Was not sure if this was intentional or not, but it appears if items added to the database are not properly flagged or the correct key fields not populated, the data will not link properly to the other subtables.
Also, when I went to upload a screen capture of it to add, I found that the Insert/Edit Image button does not allow for the upload of an image/file.
I just made a 1st level tiefling character. For some reason it lists darkness as one of her limited use abilities, even though she shouldn't get it until 5th level.
When creating a new Character and getting to the Proficiencies dropdown/selection section, I noticed that neither the skills listed (nor the drop down menu options) contained any popups, that other parts of the site did when moused over for more information.
For players just starting new characters, the ability to mouseover and see a description/uses of the skill(s) would be very valuable.
For example, I was working up an Elven Fighter, and below is the displayed Skills section text:
Skills: Choose two skills from Acrobatics, Animal Handling, Athletics, History, Insight, Intimidation, Perception, and Survival
If each of the skills above had the code for popups to display the skill information/details, that would assist in skill selection from the drop downs beneath that section.
For Personal Characteristics, it would be great if the section contained a drop down of choices, based on the Background chosen, and perhaps, some additional 'basic' choices that every character could choose from.
An 'Other' option could then enable a text box enabling the ability to type in a custom characteristic.
Definitely need to break down the Equipment Screen to match the sections of the book/SRD, and include a checkbox to include Magical items in those sections (and add extra sections for things such as Potions, Rings, R/S/W, Miscellaneous Magic, etc.). Even a Drop down menu, enabling you to filter the view to one section of items at a time would be beneficial.
The core sections could be: Armor, Weapons, Adventuring Gear, Equipment Packs, Tools, Mounts, Tack, Harness and Drawn Vehicles, Waterborne Vehicles, Trade Goods, and then the Magic Item sections.
When adding Equipment, when I went in, accidentally, and added the same piece of equipment twice, instead of selecting quantity 2, it shows as 2 separate items in the list, rather than combining them.

I agree on the first thing. As a ranger, or any ranged character, ammo tracking should be able to be managed easily. Gotta know when you're running out of arrows.
When adding Equipment, when I went in, accidentally, and added the same piece of equipment twice, instead of selecting quantity 2, it shows as 2 separate items in the list, rather than combining them.
What piece of equipment was it? I tried this out, stuff such as arrows, rations, abacuses, etc. all stacked. Armor and weapons did not. I think this is purposely done, and kind of makes sense, because if they stacked and you equipped it a stacked armor/weapon, it would equip all of them and make no sense. They could make it so that only one is equipped depending on the type of item it is, if people really want stuff like that to stack. I suppose that could make it seem less cluttered.
Character sheet looks pretty good so far. A couple things I've thought of/noticed:
1) Selecting a background after the the class has always seemed the backwards way of doing it to me, given the tangible benefits that may overlap with skill proficiencies taken while selecting your class, which you then have to go back and change. I'd like to see either the background selected prior to the class, or a pop-up that prompts you to select a new class skill proficiency if there is overlap with the background.
2) The list of starting equipment for your class/background is helpful, but challenging to reference while actually managing your inventory. What if there was an option on the starting equipment screen that you select and it just adds all your starting equipment to your inventory (maybe with drop downs to pick which weapons/armor, or set defaults that could be changed if the player wants to)?
3) Noticed a bug on the ranger. The second favored enemy list is empty. The second language list is populated, but the actual enemy type list is blank.
4) Will there eventually be an option to add homebrew class features? My friends and I have very much been enjoying play-testing a lot of the Unearthed Arcana stuff, and while I certainly don't expect all of that stuff to get included in the final release, it would be nice to be able to add those classes/archetypes/feats ourselves.

That's a yes on number 4. Confirmed by multiple staff members.
Also, when I level up my warlock, it is not giving me more room to add spells. I started off level 1, and just leveled to 2, and then 3. Warlocks gain another known spell at each of these levels, but I cannot add anymore in 'manage spells,' its only giving me two known spells. Also, at level 3, warlocks get the 2nd level spell slots, but the pact magic section still shows only 1st level spell slots. So the leveling features on this needs to be worked on.
Otherwise, the issue I was having before seems to be fixed! I had deleted a spell, having changed my mind on one, and it was not letting me add another to replace the deleted one. Not anymore! Thank you for your hard work!
In the equipment tab, there is a section for starting equipment, but the starting equipment is not showing up in my inventory on 'manage equipment." Its not showing that I have ANY of that equipped, or in my inventory at all. So I have to go back and froth between my starting options and the item search to add equipment. Not the end of the world, but having the beginning equipment already set would be very handy.

Primary class is not automatically leveled when you level up, which is why this is happening to you. A window should really pop up asking if you want to multiclass or if you want to put your level into another class if you already have multiclassed, and if "no", just automatically level up your primary class. You should be able to make decisions for certain things in this window too, for stuff like Favored Enemy for Ranger. You can level your class up through the editor currently.

Starting equipment is not added automatically, no.
When creating a Variant Human, there are only two feats available. Grappler and Svirfneblin Magic. All PHB feats should be available for a variant human.

I think it's time to put a giant disclaimer on every screen to let people know why non-SRD/Basic/EE options aren't available!

Racial Cantrip 'issue'

Working on the character sheet.
For the warlock, there needs to be a function to add eldritch invocations. Those are so important for warlocks!
