A spellbook would be awesome for players/DM to add a bunch of spells into an easy to use list. It's done in a lot of other settings of course, but in this app would be awesome. The players/DM could create special lists for their char and NPCs.
That would probably be part of phase 2 if that is a feature at all. Phase 1 is nothing more than putting the SRD online with a pretty skin to navigate.
Agree. I would really like this when I'm DM'ing so that I can have list of spells 'n stuff for each PC in my game, but also for some of the npc's/monsters they will encounter.
I agree. I would guess this would come in phase II but if there aren't current plans for it I hope you consider adding it.
I would really like to have the ability to have a spellbook and (as a wizard) mark spells as prepared and then sort be able to it by that and many of the options you have listed. Beyond that if I could apply filters to act in a specific order for example have my spells displayed by prepared, then ritual, then lvl, then alphabetical. Hopefully that last part was clear.
I have to agree with this one. Since it would also help with special loot for your party Wizard. If you fight an evil Wizard you could get his spellbook, you create one with his spells and give to the party (if they look for it/find it).
I definitely agree with this. I imagine it'll be included with part of the character builder though. It'd be hard for them to have a character builder without keeping track of spells. I'm hoping they have other class-specific info too, like a tracker for things like spell slots, sorcery points or Bardic Inspiration.
It would be nice if the spells listed also noted whether or not they were a concentration spell. This would make it easier for general knowledge but have an indicator next to a spell's name saying if it is concentration or ritual would make things incredibly easy to read through and pick spells from. Would also be cool to be able to create Spellbooks that we could title in case we want to do a mix of paper and digital (the title would be so that we could have multiple lists going, for multiple characters or whatever customization we would want).

They actually do already. Concentration spells have a little C in a black diamond next to the duration of the spell. There's also a little R in a book after the spell name if it's a ritual.
This would be something I would use. I like the idea of it in an app saved to my account I can reference during play and the ability to print it out as a hard copy as a player or DM at the table. This would be used almost every time I played if I played a spell caster or used spell casting monsters as a DM. Please consider this at some point in your development. Very useful.
Definitely agree. It would be helpful to be able to make multiple as well. I like to keep track of all my player's spells, so if I could have a folder of spell books, that would be great.
They have said they are going to add bookmark functions to the site, I assume you would be able to bookmark your spells into its own folder perhaps?

The Fight Club guys have implemented a sort of spellbook tool that is great, you click on a spell and it pops up that spell stats (actually it pops that spell level you have and you scroll through them), if this tool was implemented with the Character Sheet/Generator it would be awesome!
Agreed. Spellcasters can get very tedious because there's just so many different spells, so probably you have to keep a list and look up exactly what the less-used spells do when you cast them. Also true as a DM who has monsters which are spellcasters, nice to have on hand what their spells do.
The feature should be something like: you can pick spells to add to a named spellbook, and then have that show up as a tag you can search for just like you can search for spells based on other tags.
The only way to make a list in a spellbook is to have a wizard character, and if you are not subscribed, it uses up one of the few character slots you have.

I whole heartily agree!

Agreed, this should be available in phase two and you should be able to make spell books outside of characters (for DMing or other reasons)

Yes, this is a great idea.
Love this idea!

Check out the many mes here!
So hoping this becomes a thing, saving favourites for easy access would be a dream.
