So i bought White Plume Mountain (WPM) as a stand alone from Tales of the Yawning Portal just to get a feel how the layout and work flow is with your version of digital adventures.
And i have some suggestions that i think will make adventures more easy to use and navigate.
First: On my android tablet, which i prefer to read this kinds of stuff, when i have in portrait mode i dont get any navigation help, the dropdown is only displayed at the top of the page. While in landscape mode there is a navigation toolbox on the screens left side. Can you make so that the dropdown menu follows my scrolling?
Second: Navigation, while on the computer, tablet or phone, links in the adventure is extremely poor. In WPM for instance there are 24 rooms + extra. The only possible "jump to" in navigation is: - Running the Adventure - Locations in the dungen, which have a under meny consist of four maps. - Escaption the dungenon.
My wish is that you add links in the side menu/drop down menu to all the rooms and general features for a better work flow and navigation between rooms, my players will not follow the set up in the adventures and my scrolling will be annoying and time consuming. Ex. Under Location in the dungeon (this are exampels and numbers and their headlines dont follow the ones in the adventure), add all the rooms etc. So when i press 1. Entrance i will jump to that section.
Location in the Dungeon
General features
1. Entrence
2. Main hallway
2b. Staircase up
2a. Staircase down
Maps
Thes two thing will in my perspective give DDB adventure wiki a better work flow and ease of use in adventures.
Edit: Adding thrid and forth.
Third: Bookmarks, i've seen post about this, and in this linking off rooms and other sections in an adventure, it would be great to add bookmarks for ease to jump back to a section if my players is in rum 5 and then which allows them to enter to:4, 6-10 and the want to maby to 10, i'll can easly jump to 10 read up on that while they debate and then jump back to a selected textline on the section of rum 5.
Fourth: Notes, a section on the navigation for notes, that we easly can link to the above. For example, i'll want to take notes on a thing in room 5, and link my notes to a textblock, so when im in the section about room 5, i can see a fotnote number and klick it to see a pup up or link to my notepad for this adventure. As it is now i have to use Onenote for this, which works, but i would be nice to have this in DDB
