As a thought, you could use a "commonly paired with" feature on the monster detail page - something like a "cross-sell" function in a shopping cart. As you grow the campaign manager, the encounters we build up would establish interesting data that could feed trends like goblins and wolves or spiders. When browsing monsters, you could list a few "frequently paired with" and that might be a nice feature that can be a value-add for DMs using this to assemble encounters that will take the content beyond "just content".
I was going to post this but you guys were faster. :)
This was definitely something I struggled with back when I was starting to DM. I made a pen-and-paper rough draft of this for my first campaign such as certain wild land creatures hunting and living together or zombies and skeletons usually being paired in an undead-themed low-level dungeon.
Great to see likeminded players in the forums!

In the Light, we gather to empower our brother. In its grace, he will be made anew. In its power, he shall educate the masses. In its strength, he shall combat the shadow. And, in its wisdom, he shall lead his brethren to the eternal rewards of paradise.
It specifically came up as I am attempting to teach my daughter how to build challenging / fun encounters for her first stab at DMing for her mom and me. She was trying to put a goblin encounter together and couldn't get the math to line up with the XP budget system offered in the DMs guide.

Hahahaha. This is a good idea, but it made me laugh. "Adventurers who enjoyed killed [Beholder] also enjoyed killing [Aboleth]"

Ha, yea. Glad to make you chuckle.
That's a really great idea. Offering "suggested" pairing could be a great help to new Gm's, trying to build their first encounter :)
